The problem is less to do with the mods being fair and more that there's no way to challenge a ban or warning point to have a fair say or trial about it. There's no chance to explain your side of things, it's just a non objectionable sentence.

 

When it says you've been given a warning point and to click the button "I acknowledge this warning", I'm like " Hell no, where's the This is bull****  button? I demand a trial by combat, come face me!" But sadly I have never gotten a reply yet to my challenge. 

 

Also it doesn't help that there's a couple hall monitors around who gets their wittle feelings hurt by every little thing and has to report everything they can't handle to the mods. But it is what it is. 

yep,  agreed and would like to have some other reply back to them than 'I acknowledge this warning' - having a few times replied that i do not acknowledge this warning, as it came for no reason.  I'd certainly acknowledge it, if it was for me cursing, spamming, or being a an ass to anyone, but that really isn't my style (except for the cursing, I'm occasionally worse than an old sailor).

 

But as you said, there's no objection that would be heard, (but I guess they don't have time for that), and not even replying us with a generic customer "service" reply that could have been copypasted from somewhere.

It is what it is - it's just an online forum, there are bigger things in life to worry about.

 

added: oh yes, and the wonders of Ignore settings or the mouse scroll wheel. whoooosh.

The problem isnt people reporting, the problem is that you get warned nearly 100% of the time. They only follow the reports to delete/warn/ban. No rhyme or reason, no protocol. Can't believe I'm saying this but I would rather have Ninja Stan or Chris Priestly. At least they gave points as to why things were done and you had a tangible person you could pm and talk to.

I got modded once because of my profile. It wasn't breaking any site rules and when I inquired why I got no reply. There have been people who were banned and marked on their own group boards as well. If the RGB hasnt then its the so-called moderators who are killing and toxifying these forums.

I remember the very first one turned into a sh*t storm and got closed down. There's a reason why it lasted as long as it did. Because it was initially positive but turned toxic with drama. The other ones did too

What's funny was that people initially didn't have a warm reaction to it when the original Op first made it but it kinda snowballed in to a phenomenon afterwards. Also they seemed to have been discussing the best type of steak when it got closed down which doesn't seem all that toxic although I could very well be missing a lot of deleted posts. 

 

It did have a long post history though so perhaps the mods were kinda hasty with closing it up.

Haha no I am too! If you anger a brunette or a blond or anyone with any other hair color... thats bad... if you make a redhead angry though thats still bad but they turn into the most insanely hot person ever  haha ive always wanted to date a redhead
