The studio must prove to the market and fans, that the magic is still there. In this, I agree with the OP. So far, Bio has kept things very close to their chests. However, you can push exploration and the visuals as the bees-knees only so far. Sooner or later, you must put meat on the bones.

EA/Bio has a marketing problem if we compare W3 against Andromeda. That is, we are comparing a full played game vs one trailer and limited information. A 2:40 min video cannot adequately convey a story, side quests, romance and story telling risks. Even five of those trailers will be insufficient. In this regard, their hands are tied. The studio, must execute an alternate marketing strategy, until a proper comparison can be made. What can that be if there is one?

In the mean time, I expect Bio to keep things hidden and market what can be shown or are willing to show. However, comments that Andromeda has Battlefront like visuals (from Shinobi) may not help, as I see little people running around. Would one consider Battlefront like camera combat as a Mass Effect game? EA Play will show either another game representation with a cinematic trailer or a live game demo or a recording of one. The former will reveal nothing about the game play while the latter may reveal to us if the visuals are Mass Effect like.

With ten+ months to go, my prediction is another cinematic trailer showing the ship's interior, a new alien, one or two companions from the MW Galaxy, the Mako, some combat pyrotechnics.

I think this month we going to get a gameplay on E3 so with luck we wont need to wait that long.

Most games combat consists of that though, You could argue Mass effect essentially has the same combat too, substituting blocking for cover and active shield recharge as dodge, and well any form of crowd control from your class

Even in Mass Effect 3 while the differences aren't day and night, combat still isn't just "wait for enemy to shoot, jump up and shoot them a few times, jump back into cover". Classes like the Vanguard are very quick and agile while the Soldier is more of your standard "sit behind cover and shoot at the enemy" class.

None of the builds in TW3 create that big of a difference in gameplay, because you're still basically just attacking and counter attacking. Part of this is because most enemies will do the exact same thing, so if you don't address their block first you'll be the one getting counter attacked and Geralt isn't all that durable even in heavier armour.

Good lord. ok dude you have your view and i have mine ( and i know other to share my view). But i telling you, coming from a game that do alot of novels. that is WOW. players dont like to need to go and buy a novel to find out stuff about the game. Just hardcore fans do that and really that isnt something good.

And plz while Blood and Wine or Heath stone DLC are excellent, both feel super disconnect of the main story on the game, that the important part on the story was finding CIri and dealing with the Wild hunt.

As a Story Drive game having a DLC that make you move away from the main story that is present as you trying to find a person as soon as you can since is in danger it bad.

Blood and Wine takes place AFTER Wild Hunt if you beat the game. In fact the launch trailer with the bruxa takes place AFTER Blood and Wine. Hearts of Stone can also take place after Wild Hunt as well, but before the epilogue.

Wrong.

One build breaks blocks allowing you to be the aggressor and another lets you be the aggressor with you dodging enemy counterattacks. Different approaches to combat. Alchemy builds once again, reward aggressive, offensive gameplay.

LOL that while be interesting knowing that Krogan have 4 testicles, one just can imagine how crazy and wierd a female must be.

Yeahhh..... that something i never understand about Witcher why so much sex. Is like Geralt need to bang everything that move on those game. It wast worst on 1 that you can literally bang everything.

Geralt can break blocks as any build at level 1, because Aard will do that by default. I used it on a regular basis as a red build simply because I didn't feel like waiting to counter attack.

but it doesn't switch things up all that much. I've tried all the builds before so I'm aware of what the differences actually are. It just seems like you're trying to stretch the differences out to have a far greater impact than they actually do.

Here is the thing.....the expansions are not called Wild Hunt. They do not have it in the title. They are their own adventures.

Yes, we know what happens to Geralt, but we don't know what happens to Olgierd or Anarietta. There still can be adventures after the end. And Blood and Wine takes place after the epilogue of Wild Hunt.

Geralt a gangsta. The Witcher sex scenes are way more realistic than any of bioware's. They aren't out of hand but they aren't for kids. Neither is Mass Effect or witcher. Ha. Never stopped me. If you want Krogan sex you should be able to get Krogan sex.

But a leveled up Igni breaks multiple blocks and sets the whole mob on fire, and an Aard wit Piercing Cold is even better. But these are for blue players.

Green players can go on the offensive and not wait for the enemy to attack. They can press the offense because enemy counterattacks will slow the game down, allowing for an easy dodge. Many potions support pressing the advantage. Also toxicity can be good for a green witcher, but its always bad for a red or blue one.

that is the thing, when it come down to Geralt i know how it end, or at least on my ending he retired, so Blood and Wine didnt make any sense why go on a last "adventure" when he retired bc he want to live in peace with Yenifer (sorry if i spell her name wrong).

Again, this is a problem i notice most game suffer when it come down when they have a close ending. When it open really there isnt issues when you keep putting DLC.

ME 3 DLC feel so good for me bc each one build for the ending, probably the high note was Citadel (that DLC bring up so many memories) .

Witcher 3 DLC didnt add nothing to the story of my Witcher and Ciri. For example if Blood and Wine was about other of the Witcher and no Gerelt for me it will make more sense but i think if they did that most ppl wound like playing as a new Witcher they dont know much about it (and i mean Geralt friends)

Hey it's all good man. I'm not into the alien thing well except for asari....*sigh* why couldn't they replace Liara with Aria. She was on point.

It's a fair bet that fewer people would like Aria than they do Liara.

did you ever paid attention to that conversation about the Salarian bachelor party, and the Asari dancer and how each of the dude see something different when she is dancing.... hahaha that whole conversation make me laugh and make me wonder if we saw the Asari as Blue sexy female with tentacles on the head while other species see something different.

I just want for stronger scenes regarding your love interest, i just dont care for the whole lieing together thing, (its been a while since ive done it in mass effect, i still need to replay 2 and 3 lmao) I just want to see the love making scenes more fleshed out they dont have to show the lower genitals or anything, but at least show our characters doing it, to just add more cement to the part our characters are actually doing the beast of two backs

No way.

Attention to detail is so entirely absent during the Horizon mission for example. In fact the scene showing the Collector attack on Horizon should have been cut, nevermind the Collector swarm bug from nowhere that Mordin has.

attention to detail in cutscenes is NOT what the series was good at.

Firstly I didn't say the series, I said ME2. Secondly I said small details, as what I listed. Story details were always the problem in all ME games.

He got a contract from an ally and friend from the books. He would honor that. also the expansion adds Regis, who was a key ally for Geralt.

Its Citadel that doesn't fit well with ME3, because ME3 has a strong three act plot and DLC seems to break the pacing. So TW3's expansion does not break the pacing like ME3's expansions do.
