And Oni, if I've offended you, I really am sorry, it certainly was NOT intended that way.

I have noticed you have a warped sense of humour, with Deadpool and all the things you've posted here, so thought it would be right up your alley, with the bannister there and all. My apologies if it hit and missed.

Pictures of me and my child 3-4 years ago. Daughter is getting more and more beatiful and heading to puberty as I´m getting older with eyeglasses and few gray hair.

WT living eff man, seriously? Where did you get that sarcasm bit here?  Totally off your rocker this time,

We, as it happens, collect and LIKE old antique furniture. I thought this was made very clear in that post. Perhaps it would help if actually read the post and  not try to find all kinds of evil between every line one sees, huh. We have a saying here, 'reading like the devil reads the bible'.

I don't have one piece of laminated cräp in our house.

Secondly, we like Oni. he's a great guy to play with, have done so many times. What part of "that pic didn't suck at all, looks like a kind, nice guy right there :) " did you NOT understand, either? I  could not have phrased it any more clearly in English. Good grief.

Also, the impudence of putting words in anyone else's mouth, regarding your statement of him probably breaking my every bone. ....I don't even.

So lay off, will ya. I'll also fend myself if accused with ridiculous allegatiovns.

This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by Fuenf789View it anyway? Nope.

Fuen's posts are blocked for me on BSN. On the mic he's a pretty cool guy.

Having said that, I collect antique upholstery myself! Some lamps too. I like old things like that. Especially chairs. Let's just ignore the underhanded comments and such, eh?

Also @ Arktinen: No, not offended. Just sad. I took an L with the placement of that piece o' wood! And yes, some of my posts are in jest. I'm a bit of a clowner.

Except with it comes to generalxxxIVxxivi. Go away. haha xx

As Dalakaar pretty much said, "good luck" lol. We we're 3 girls growing up and we gave my dad hell. No brothers. I used to hang with guys who had motorcycles only, that was my thing back then I'd choose a nerd to come to the house to pick me up instead and drop me off to the cool guy with the bike so my dad wouldn't know haha but other times they'd pick me up from the house if I was rebelling and my dad would yell after us not to be late at least. Poor dad... I feel sorry for him now a little bit.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeit!!! You can't stop there, man, not without a shout out to McNulty or Bubbs or Stringer. I was saying to someone only yesterday how The Wire has kinda ruined tv for me, as nothing has come close before or since. Perfection. My Mass Effect addiction pales into insignificance beside my love for that show.  :)

Excessively bad language, extreme violence, and obvious plot spoilers follow, but it's also a 10 minute compilation of many of the reasons why it was and remains the best thing out there. It's all in the game, yo...

Ah, that explains a lot. I go for the scrolling-wheel option of ignoring but don't have much tolerance for bs. You've seen me, it's the fiery redhead then.. This time his commentary crossed the line. But sure, let's.

The clowner in you was the part I thought was in work with the railing, but agreeing, it is a good spot for a shot. Thanks for understanding, though. I'm one of dry humour and bad, bad puns.

We, too, just appreciate the proper craftmanship that went into old furniture - if it's much older than me and still standing, it's usually well made. And handmade. (And I'm no spring chicken.)  Also, more pleasing to my eye than modern stuff.

Some friend once commented that it feels like visiting a grandma's old house, with all the old things around. I'm sure I wasn't counted in that list, she's older. ;)

Scarlet_Aimpyh, indeed, this is an awesome thread. I think it has brought the majority of the forum community together in a great way.

well, i have spent far more time fighting the reapaz than watching the wire or stuff about the wire :) still. I was thinking supporting char kind i guess. Loved all character in that show but still prefered those 3. David simmons, ed burns and pelecanos sure writed great characters. David simmons did a "master class" at Deaville film festival few years ago and that was awesome

I always wanted a brother, an older one to look out for me but I was lucky with my sisters and we we're like best friends all of our lives. Lost one of them 5 years ago, my oldest and the other big sister now lives really far away in Wales, that makes it hard.

Oh and as far as good tv shows goes, I'm telling you people, watch Peaky Blinders, I freaking love that show!!! Finished all three seasons out there and now waiting for the fourth....

Part of my appreciation for older furniture comes from my job. Dealing with 50-over 100 year old houses and seeing how doors, windows, mouldings and other wooden things are still around and at worst are just now, 50-100+ years later needing replacement. Things were just built better (except doors and windows).

Yeah, Omar, McNulty and Lester were always my faves. That show had some great moments and gags.

I've tried with PB. Big fan of Cilian Murphy and Sam Niel, but I guess it's kinda slow to start. Trying to watch Banshee as well.

It's not like the Wire starts with a bang or is very action packed, but I agree it has a weird rythm. A lot of stuff happens in the series as it's only 6 episodes each season, but at the same time there's A LOT of dialogues going on and I guess it can feel slow at times. It's also easy to miss something important if you get distracted for a short time. Also if you're not from the united Kindom I'd recommend subtitles for this show coz it can get tough !

Banshee is a very different show, I've watched it and loved it but it's much much much more action driven, with you know, some "unrealistic" stuff going on. I usually don't like when a show gets too unrealistic or incoherent but here, for the most part it didn't bother me. I think the main virtue of the show are its main iconic characters, their story lines, the aesthetics, action sequences, some surprisingly strong performances. Despite the fact that there's a lot of fights and you know, sex, going on, I've experienced some of the scenes as very powerful and poignant. So yeah, obviously don't expect something similar to the Wire. You should also be able to tell if the show if for you after 3 or 4 episodes top.
