I always got a bit suspicious in varsity when a group of girl friends wanted to introduce one to a girl with "a nice personality". There are just something about that opening line that says Hey - it's nice to have someone that knows what humour actually is - but you cannot fault personality by standing a block away. Then again guys never assumed that you wanted to live forever with one girl. Just so different these two.

Years ago, I shaved my legs when I started cycling. It was tedious (and a little painful), but I'll tell you this: the first time I got into bed after all that hair came off was incredible. Not worth keeping up with the shaving, though.

Well... let me explain my point like this then: It may sound dull or silly but in my own head it makes sense and that all that matters . A little vain is good, just not too much. I made a few posts a few weeks back about appearance and how important it is to look good and I meant it. I do think it's important to look presentable and feminine  (if you're a woman) etc. What I mean with too much vain is that in my life experience, I've come to realize that a pretty face and body in a partner can only make me happy for an amount of time if his personality isn't alright. I'd rather then be with a less attractive guy with an amazing personality., does that make sense? When I was younger I would purely go for the pretty face type of guy and not care about how dumb the guy was but as I am older now, I've realized that I want more in a guy than purely looks. Ofc there has to be attraction and he has to take care of his looks but he needs to have a great personality also, not be a pretty face. A pretty face alone doesn't do it for me anymore. 

 

I come from a very vain family btw but I think myself as lucky for not having adapted to being completely as vain. I've learned that it's very important to maintain looks etc but otherwise I've told myself that people are people first and not purely pretty faces or defined for where they work for example.

I love shaved legs on a woman. Legs are sexy. I appreciate the cost in time and effort and pain.

 

I used to shave my chest hair but have since met more than a few women who told me to stop. (Girl I'm currently with is very much of that mindset.) I always assumed chest hair wasn't particularly attractive, but the amount of women I've met who like it switched my thinking.

Even my 13 year old niece hates him, she cries if I make fun and tell her that she loooooooves him lol. For the record: I don't intend to make her cry.... I just forget how much she hates him sometimes...
