Thank you very much, but i wanted just to show my face
.No doubt here are the prettiest people. ![]()
Interesting thread.
Funny how we usually hide our faces because of the anonymity and comfort that gives...
As a 50-something I suspect enjoying games and discussing them is not something most (if not all) people I know do.
Surely there would be no risk?
Surely no-one I know or work with would spot my photo? !!
So here we go, oldish baldy person, actually shown in my avatar...
<snip>
It still amazes me that this place is full of 50-something people talking about video games. About relationships. About Latin. About dinosaurs (velociraptor btw). About grenades. Turians and Krogans. (Solarians, Asari, Volus, Vorcha and the others too, i guess...) I feel comfortable here.
This place is COOL!
You people all are FREAKING COOL. And......
PICNIC!

With the significant other. Wine and marshmallows. Mmmmmmm....
i was surprised about the ages of people here... i thought youd all be teenage guys when i first joined
i was pleased to be wrong... i guess it says lots about the quality of the games that we talk about... that they do attract a more mature audience and thats a GOOD thing
were also very diverse... people from all genders and all ages and again thats a GOOD thing... I like it here ![]()
believe it or not the average age demographic of gamers worldwide are late 20's to about mid 40's. I believe gaming has become the dominant form of entertainment for most adults nowi was surprised about the ages of people here... i thought youd all be teenage guys when i first joined

Yes
but I guess it depends on the games you play... if you play just shooters then i guess youd have more teenagers... its a lot like relationships
adults are more likely to want something more deep and meaningful and i guess its the same with computer games... adults are more likely to go for rpgs I think because of the depth and emotions and the characters and the stories... rpgs are kind of more 'mature' games... theyre not just something to do in your spare time but something to lose yourself in... and I like that ![]()

Couldn't agree more.
I've found that when I was a teenager I had so much more time and energy (and frankly interest) that I loved deep meaningful games, doing it the "right way" and taking time. I loved spending 16 hrs straight on Baldur's Gate 2.
Now I'm 33 and ain't got no time fo dat.
I'm sick of games having me sit in inventory or hitting up shop owners for half the bloody game. (Ie Skyrim.)
One of the reasons I love ME3MP so much is that it's a truly "Pick up and go" game. You hit a lobby, you're in a game, 20 mins go by and you're done. There's no BS.
I've started up WoW and even in that game I'm not letting all the extraneous stuff distract me. I'm not bothering with Professions, or even questing/story stuff. Just straight PvP or Dungeons.
Maybe if I found a game with a truly compelling storyline I would get into it, but I haven't found any lately. (Not a Witcher fan.)
Mostly I'm just sick of games trying to waste my time, I want to play a game the way I want to play it, and as an experienced gamer I'm able to look past the extraneous crap and do what is fun for me, not grindy or lame.
^ back when we played Baldurs Gate and Fallout's 1/2 and games like that, there wasn't much competition. Almost nobody had Internet back in 1996. Now you have all sorts of stuff competing for our time and money.
And it's precisely because people "don't have time" FPS's like Call of Duty and crap like that pushed out meaningful RPG's and Strategy games. People want a quick burst of fun, they don't want to spend more than 10 minutes learning the game. It's wham, bam, thank you mam.
P.S. ME3MP is as grindy as they come.
I know how you feel bro. I have the new Batman and Doom to get around to yet... but I just can't be bothered. I'd rather just play ME3 or a few games in Battlefield (where I have developed an obsession with pushing snipers off roofs!)I've found that when I was a teenager I had so much more time and energy (and frankly interest) that I loved deep meaningful games, doing it the "right way" and taking time. I guess thats why the multiplayer is here... it caters to both
instant fun and deep and meaningful all in one game ![]()

The gameplay for me is fun, repetitive, but fun. But all games are repetitive at their core, it's finding those repetitions that you enjoy and doing those more often then cutting out the repetitive crap you don't like. That's what I'm getting at.
How cruel of you.
I prefer giving them presents.

I prefer overkilling them with C4 though. And then giving them their daily dose of salty teabaggin. I'd tag and bag them as well but knife kills don't have the killcam and then I can't teabag them so I only do it the first time or so.
Also on that note, BF1 looks sweet! Aggressive recon looks to be super fun! And it sounds phenomenal too!
I bet we could make a pretty sweet BF1 team based on players from here....I prefer overkilling them with C4 though. And then giving them their daily dose of salty teabaggin. Best way to use C4 is to detonate it with a Flashbang or Road Flare, because kill credit goes to the latter. Can get some wonderful hackusations that way.
Defibs, repair tool or EOD bot to the face are pretty good too.
Tho I wish they'd make them look like Chewbacca again. Upped the comedy factor quite a bit.
What the...
... are those guys blind???
No, most wookiees are simply harmless, passive, rather unintelligent bush, tree or hill dwelling creatures that aren't easily startled.
though there is an endangered subspecies, identifiable by the use of shotguns or assault rifles. These are highly aggressive and dangerous creatures.

Tunnel vision bro. Scopin and droppin is all good but you better watch your back, always.
... People do act goofy when they're trying to get into your pants.
But you aren't wearing any pants!

A person from Småland, Sweden, in Swedish.
Pfffff, good snipers don't get no tunnel vision. Do you think it'd be easy to catch garrus off guard?
Besides, those vids are hilarious. Wish you could do the same with the snipers on your team in battlefront...
Yeah but that is Garrus though, he can probably get away with hip firing the Widow if he wants. I mean the last time I tried blocking a rocket with my face in BF4, it didn't turn out quite so heroic as when he did it.
Meh, Garrus took one rocket to the face and was knocked out. MP characters take GRT's double taps and Atlas BS physics breaking rockets to the face and eat the like popcorn.
