Aww well I hope one day you can come and visit the natural history museum here in LA or anywhere in the in the US really. You'll see lots more dinosaurs. But I bet the ones in your museum were still great!

Been there :) I went with my mom :) I really liked the nhm... you had 3 t rexs right??? And some really pretty nature gardens :) I think ive only been once though :(

when I walked into dinosaur hall I remember thinking 'PLEASE be like night at the museum'...

obviously that wouldnt happen during the day right??? ;)

Dobby, iirc.

And I wanted to make some awesome joke about a not-so-great movie set in a museum, but I wasn't smart enough to think of one, so I didn't.

I totally understand that. Was usually Egypt for me though, the lore fascinated me.

Which is probably what got me into Impressions' builder games before SIERRA bought them and fired all their competent programmers (Pretty sure EA learnt everything from them).

Is that proof again that all cats love boxes? :) Mine certainly did, and haven't seen one yet that didn't.

Humans are the problem with the world. Imagine the amazing things we could all see if they either got their **** together and stopped being arses to each other, or went extinct, I'd be fine being one of the last humans alive, because at least then I know the BS would be over, and the world a better place. It's a shame how much human potential is wasted on such BS.

i was surprised about the ages of people here... i thought youd all be teenage guys when i first joined ;) i was pleased to be wrong... i guess it says lots about the quality of the games that we talk about... that they do attract a more mature audience and thats a GOOD thing :) were also very diverse... people from all genders and all ages and again thats a GOOD thing... I like it here :)

Oh believe me, whenever you make a thread about age or 'oldies' they all come out of the closet... There are BSNers in their 60's 70's and 80's...

And at what point do we stop making excuses and try to change?

You could easily say living naked in caves and throwing rocks is/was our nature, too.

And yet, we grew out of that, and found things like Philosophy, which is easily arguable as now a part of our nature, which in itself can help us adapt and change our nature.

If history has proven ANYTHING, it is that human nature is ADAPTABLE. That is all. No inherent violence, no inherent empathy or kindness. Just that we can adapt, to almost anything. Violence and Aggression was once required for our survival and progress, but it is now a large part of what holds us back. Adaptation is the only constant in human nature.

Anyway, I try to avoid such discussions, they tend to breed arguments more than rational discussions, and somebody ALWAYS has to bring mythology into it (AKA: Religion).

I wish I were a curator! I do curating but I mostly do fossil preparation.

But I also work with animals in a veterinary hospital. So I do different things.

Haha yes! But I prefer working with the long dead, extinct ones. They don't scratch and bite like those naughty live ones.

Violence and Aggression was once required for our survival and progress,

You need to remember that Evolution itself is a violent and aggressive process...

I will agree about he adaptation of the human nature.
