It's about what I expected...lots of little teasers.  Liked the Asari - had a playful, childlike quality.  And the female protag.  Damn, so many little things to digest.  Someone get Lady Insanity to work breaking it down.

The game looks beautiful, but it's a shame Bioware still hasn't released anything substantial. I guess they've opted to go the Fallout 4 route.

The last scene confirms the ark takes the scenic route to Andromeda, since FemRyder(?) was waking from cryosleep.

The alien that dropped Tattooed Mug off the cliff...first full glimpse of the Khet?

The armor designs looked cool, as did the ships.

The Asari with the face paint had an "interesting character" design, but I'm hoping she isn't a squadmate. I was getting Sera and Merrill vibes from her intro, and they are two of my least favorite characters in the DA series. I'm sure that will be an unpopular opinion.

Not sure what to think about the Ark possibly being parked in orbit around Earth.

I liked her, she makes a change from the Asari in the original trilogy, all of whom were either smoking hot or butt ugly.  She seemed real and quite cute to me.

I certainly like what we saw of her. She seemed unusual and it wouldn't mind more personality variety to the people of the different races since it would only make sense that there would be. She seemed... young. It could be she's actually a part of the child or teen population.

You might be right about that.  That's a mixed bag for me.  Loved Sera, loathed Merrill.

 

If Ark over Earth makes it into game, that would indicate the mission occurs far after events of ME3.  In that even I wonder how they'll handle different endings; particularly the one with green glowing eyes.

Pretty Much, have your expectations set for release date somewhere in Holiday 2017. If it was any sooner, then they should have had some sort of Demo like they did for Mass Effect 3 during the E3 before release.

I was getting the eccentric dork vibe from her, which is usually my least favorite of Bioware's stock characters. While not eccentric, Liara, Traynor, and Tali were all socially awkward, so I'm fine with that character type being left out of the main cast this time around.

She also looked like a kid, and I'm not crazy about child characters in general. The last child character Bioware created being Glowbrat doesn't help.

Of course that's all based on my first impression of a 5(?) second clip, so I could end up completely wrong, or she may not even be a squaddie. I had a poor first impression of Javik and Vega when they first showed up in ads, but ended up liking both after the game released. Javik is now one of my favorite characters in the series.

This is BioWare, they love putting a nerd in the game somewhere.  I kinda like them as long as they're not too over the top and annoying.  Tali's romance tested my patience I must admit.

 

That's the thing we should all take away from this, it's a couple of minutes of footage, there's no need to get butthurt or outraged over anything we've seen.  It's too early, we shouldn't be judging the ME:A book by it's cover just yet.

M-8 Avenger. Tempest is a Normandy-class derivative (SSV Normandy was a lead ship of it's class - there are several by the time we already have a shiny new SR-2). It's just the good old stuff, but more of it, and better (looking, at the least - I saw UT-47 Kodiak derivatives, different from 47A's by the rear engines I think)

 

Cryo-sleep theories seem to have been right. And I think we have the default face - and voice - of female Ryder.
