So I don't have more than about 80 hours into this game and I have a long way to go before I can max out my manifest. I'm trying to find a build that gives me a lot of DPS but at the same time makes it easier to survive.

 

Here is the build that I'm using at the moment:

I chose the quarian infiltrator because I've seen a lot of random people use it and they always top the scoreboard with it, but I just feel like it is so hard to play with the infiltrator. I understand that I can use cloak to be safe for a few seconds, but the recharge time of my powers means that I have to use cloak very sparingly. I only have the Claymore at rank II so of course it's not going to deal an amazing amount of damage, but still I feel like I'm underperforming with the weapon somehow.

 

Can someone please take a look at my build and give me some tips about how to improve it? It would be much appreciated.

TSent with any weapon is pretty decent, and he's not difficult to find in a pack.  4/6/6/6/4 is generally a good start, though you can move one of those points around for 5/6/6/6/3 or 3/6/6/6/5 depending on equip choices.

 

Salarian Engineer with Incinerate 6a "Freeze Combo" along with Cryo Ammo is good, and he's not hard to find either.

 

Vanilla Human Engie is also pretty powerful, and I know you've got one of those.  You want the Drone 4b 5a 6b
