Feminism is an extremist group who want equality when it only favors one side, which is theirs, and to achieve that, this spoiled group fabric lies that eventually get shut down by experts in the field, if that ain't enough, feminism wants to dictate how a woman should live, and if she doesn't do that, she's a traitor to the fictional patriarchy. Feminism also promotes an unhealthy way of life by saying that you need not to worry about what you eat or weight, because that's who you are, and if you have serious health problems, at least you died happy. Not only that, but feminists worry about men opening the doors to them, cat calling, or simply talking to them while there's women at the Arab world that die by countless rocks that are threw at them, and what do these feminists do about it? Nothing. They go outside with their pointless parades to talk about this fictional rape culture or complain about sexualization by undressing in front of the whole city.

Let's not all forget the air conditioner scandal, or that feminists are voting for Hillary for the simple fact that she's a woman, a corrupted one.

Oh, feminism is really a disease. It goes nowhere, and only promote the distance between two genders when they should be united, but that won't happen with masterpieces like the #KillAllMen one.

That’s the first problem: We couldn't be comparing men working 40 hours to women working 35, and women have a lot of benefits men don't, such as the maternal phase, you get paid for doing nothing while having some time off to take care of your newborn, but hey - nobody is judging that , it's a right. You just have to fully understand the topic and what investors and managers have to do to balance their business.

I'm going with choice "C" - ui876will made this thread with a certain goal in mind, and that goal was met fully, beautifully, and entirely predictably.

 

Oh, I wasn't actually separating them into choices: I just have a bit of a wierd thing going on where words and sentences looks wierd to me if I don't set them up in a certain way. It's very bothersome because I have to rewrite and reset sentences.

The fact that Ashley and Miranda are on the box is quite relevant to the statement in question. Having two women on the box would look weird, and might give the impression of a different sort of game. Plus, if there is already one woman, adding a second doesn't really go anything with the representation. 

 

And of course, you ignore the disdain the OP has for "generic white dudes." Representation, as stupid as it is to shoot for, was there and it didn't matter. I think they need to grow up. 

 

Eh, support character and main character is a bit different from each other. I'll see if I can formulate a decent explaination.

 

I did not read the opening post's final remark as disdain, I read it as them merely being tired of it and wanting some variety to it.

Why would two women on the box look odd but two men would not?

 

Is it because Garrus and Thane are aliens?

 

What kind of different game do two women in an action pose on a box cover give the impression of?

You are on a forum intended towards discussions about entertainment products. Additionally, a forum where certain topics about actual issues are disallowed by the site rules and are punishable by removal of forum privileges.

 

If you are interested in having a discussion about actual issues, I'm sure there is other forums for it where those topics can be discussed freely. If you have a topic in mind you find interesting then you can start your own thread on these forums.

 

If you are sufficently desperate, you can send a private message to N7Phantom about history and race and see where it goes from there. He's bound to have enough complaints to last 'till Andromeda's release date.

I'm well aware that "actual issues" aren't permitted discussion. Neither is someone wanting to push their own special brand of identity politics. This topic has nothing to do with the actual game, you don't have to try and be a junior mod.

I don't see why not. The insinuation about gamers by some critics is that many happen to be sexist or racist so game developers feel compelled to use the same type of protagonist in each of the their video games to avoid driving away their core audience. I don't believe that too be honest. I believe that the majority of gamers aren't sexist or racist. So I don't really see why this is an issue. If Bioware fancy using a female player character in their promotional art just as some developers would like to use a protagonist with blonde hair as opposed to black hair then I honestly don't see the problem. 

 

I'm sure most people (except the usual nut jobs) will be cool with it.

2) Have you actually ever looked after a newborn for a period of time? I was quite relieved to go back to work and leave her to it, it's ****** tough and exhausting. To say it is like a holiday is possibly one of the most stupid thing I have read on here for a long time, and that is saying something.
