And actually, I'm kind of proud of BioWare for doing that. I'm sure a Male-NOTShep will appear at some point, but to start this way? Way to go...

I had to stop watching streams because of the comments that happened after that moment in the video.  I wonder if what they have is contagious?

What sort of things were they saying? I had the stream open, but wasn't looking at it then.

WoW colored my perception, because now I assume 50% of people on an MMO and 65% of people on an RP realm are female. Someone super paranoid went "Hey, don't freak out on vent, I'm a girl" and then 80% of the raid goes "Yeah, me too." And yours truly, the tank, would be like "Yup." And then we said off-color things about the one Australian guy for the rest of the time because we were the worst. 

 

Estrogen Accord.... Good times.

 

I didn't see that high of numbers but in my raid group there was always like 4-5 women at any given time. Much higher than what I noticed on any other game.

 

One time in vanilla we did a joint raid with an extremely Christian guild. I think my guild won "we were the worst" on that day =P

 

In either case, it seems like the OP got their wish.

Now I wasn't watching the chat but I'd reckon' you can look at Dutch's Ghost and their comment about it and get a more or less accurate summation.

My money is on that being pretty much the game's opening scene after the introduction to why we left the MW, and that being the PC.

A scene like this makes me bet money on lead fem squadmate who will tutorial us through Character Creator, click her finger on cry-pod button from which we 'emerge' and then be romance option ofc. It's just as likely she's new Miranda as new femPC

It could happen but that would be a weird style of doing things.

 

Typically your Miranda type character is the first one you meet after waking up, not the one you actually see waking up from cryo sleep.

The new Ashley, if the leak was legit, is supposedly a blonde.

It is probably a safer bet that the character at the end is the protagonist.

Bioware did say that when they show the protagonist, they would have both male and female in the same video. The male was used in the gameplay clips, so that lady at the end is probably the female protagonist.

Bioware will do what they did with DAI use both Male and Female like they did in the new E3 MEA trailer.

I really like this scene and hope it's actually in the game to showcase our protag. I don't expect it to be though.
