They can just do the same as they did with Mass effect 3, give us a changeable cover we can switch to male or female protagonist, that would be cool.

 

For promotion, I am for 50 % male, 50% female promotion trailers. But as I discussed on my thoughts on the N7 day teaser : http://forum.bioware.../#entry20236559

 

if you do a goodbye trailer, make it one with a male and the other with a female, or make itl ike a fallout 4 with both voices in the same trailer. If you do a promotional trailer do whatever you want, but I would suggest a 50 % man, 50 % woman.

Same! I'm not completely confident that it will be, but... Well, I'm picturing how the transition from character creator to this scene might work, and it fits so perfectly that I really wouldn't be surprised if they went with it.

It's how I've always imagined the transition would be. We get to the character creation screen, make our protagonist, and when we finish the stasis pod holding us opens and we wake up.

Something crazy like 80% of players were male Shepard.
Male Shepard isn't usually called male Shepard, just Shepard.
He is in most trailers as you've said.

Honestly, why not have the new protagonist be promoted as female? It doesn't mean every single thing in this game will be promoting a strong feminist agenda, or that every single character would be female, gay, trans, or something just for the sake of diversity. Trust that they will use it for some healthy equality and good story telling-this just means that the creators felt either that this character's story worked well as a woman, or that women should be (promoted?) more, from an equality stand point.

Does using a female make me want to buy the game more or less? Nope. I'll probably be male the first time, since I'm male, but if I find the female canon, I'll make my head canon play through a woman.


Sorry for rambling. I just really don't get why it's a big deal either way at this point.

at least these guys got there fem PC. was overall disappointed but at least we saw a Fem PC. so at least some of us will have something to be happy about.
