I have a wild theory. I think ME:A wil have Destiny/Division shared world co-op elements added to it. That might be why it's taking so long to release.

 

That would be the worst goddamn thing.

I really enjoyed me3 mp, but the crate system was bad. I have been playing uncharted 4 mp and you earn weapon upgrades by using the weapon, which makes much more sense than relying on luck from the crates. Also it does not give you duplicates either. If they basically used the me3 mp and just tweaked it slightly I would be happy with that. I am not a huge fan of pop; I prefer the coop.

:) it's a theory. Destiny and the Division made loads of money, and I don't think EA has a similar product out there at the moment.

Polished version on me3mp is all I need. I really don't need any additional game modes and please stay away from pvp.

And if MEA goes into any direction of Destiny or Division I'm skipping the game for sure.

Well, regardless of whether it made money or not, EA is in it for the long haul. EA is not stupid. Evil? Debatable. Stupid? Not on your life.

SP and MP would work kind of together. In SP we would have the main hero doing the main history. Meanwhile they are other things to do, like securing/getting resources, rescue and recover someone/thing. So some MP missions would happen inside the main history but without affecting it: meaning MP is NOT obligatory to SP. But the more missions you unlock from SP the more of THESE missions would be available in MP.

 

MP would have coop and versus BOTH. People would choose what they want. You dont like versus? Choose Coop and period. But Versus would always be there in case your curious about it.

 

Coop would have different types of missions and Versus would have different types of modes. And there would be the middle. Some Coop missions would allow the system(enemies) to summon 1 o 2 players, or let players invade some(not all) coop misions(like Dark Souls' invasions)

 

There could be a game settings or mode for "random objectives" that would work the same way ME3MP works.

 

Horde mode like Gears would be awesome.

 

An options that limits the player to fall unconscious a number of times(from which can recover) and then just die. Players could be killed or executed during unconsciousness like in Gears.

 

Powers would HAVE to be balanced A LOT! OP powers like Stasis. Maybe some powers could be triggered not only by pressing the button, but also holding it a few seconds and releasing, and then the cooldown time. That way players would not be able to spam them.

 

Crouching is needed. And maybe crawling.

 

What do you think of jumping as a basic move? Personally that would suck, they have to be grounded, unless they use gadgets that run out of energy. Jumping is not realistic.

We the protagonist do the main stuff and MP has you collecting resources and defending colonies. That's basically it. They said that in the leak and from what we've seen so far it's pretty **** accurate.

As long as it's mechanically separate from the single player - unequivocally - I can deal with it.

I'd seriously rethink my purchase if the MP ties into the SP to any significant extent, which would be a pretty big deal for me.

And if they went full speed ahead moron made it into something like Destiny, I'd set fire to my Mass Effect games and mail a box of banana spiders to Mac Walters.

To the people dooming PvP, I can't disagree with you, that PvP can be poison to a game, but it can also extremely enhance a game and make you play the game for much longer and for different reasons.
If it has good and reasonable rewards, that give you the feeling, that you achieved something, for example "kill 10/25/50/100/250/500/750/1000 players as an adept/with biotics", you get rewards, that are extremely valuable for your adept, maybe some guns, "ores" that can enhance your gear or even abilities! Or just imagine, you get 1000 Tech Kills, and you get a "legendary" omni blade or tool, that is... green or blue or red with the blood of your enemies and is shaped like a futuristic excalibur, what do I know, but something, that seems like a trophy and you can show off with in front of your friends!  :P

You got 500 kills as an engineer? Nice! Here, have a tech bow and concussive arrows, that penetrate armor and have a chance to knock enemies back!
