So earlier this week, I decided to jump back on to the site formally known as BSN.  After readying a few posts and watching not only my old ME3 youtube vids but as well as other vids, I had the itch to literally dust off my ecksbawks and jump back on.  Man, it's been almost a year and a half since I used my 360.  And the updates didn't help with just jumping back on.

Anyway, I'm going to jump in right now and shake off the rust by playing a couple bronze and a few silver games.  Tomorrow, I may get back on gold and do a few more games then.  I guess I'm a sucker for nostalgia.  I hope to bump into a few of you guys on there.  Excuse me if I seem like a noob in the game.

Hit me up I may be on later tonight. I can carry you through some gold matches if you want. My friends list may be full or close to it so send me an angry message if that's the case.

I agree with this. After many hiatuses I find the rust rubs off a lot faster when I start out on the difficulty I am used to. (In my case pc/plat/pug 99% of the time.)

Although throw on some equipment. Especially Ammo that primes. That's part of the (re)learning curve and should be relearned asap.

Ie. Ammo priming/rewriting and when that's a good thing or a bad thing; learning to count on ammo crowd control against enemies on health/Geth-Disruptor/etc and not waste powers needlessly.

It's all good, I'm done for the night.  I did 2 matches on silver with 2 IMO tanky characters.  The OG KroSent and the BatSol.  I used to play with a headset.  But my rechargeable batteries were dead, so no mic/headset.  I've put my batteries on the charger so tomorrow should be better. I didn't realize how much of a crutch a headset can be.

Funny you say that, I just watched that season again.  I remember Bran saying something about how the "gods" didn't like when you killed a guest in your home.  Waldor will get his, I hope Jon if not Blackfish does it.  And I think only 3 episodes left I think.  The last episode this season is supposed to be the longest episode the show has ever had.

I prefer the no Amps because it helps you focus on hitting headshots, timing powers, hitting soft cover...getting the basics down.

Amps allow you to be sloppy in areas and still pull through. They're like the icing on the cake. Cakes gotta be good first

Targetting VI and Strength Enhancer are the best amps ;)

So I jumped back on again.  I must have played 3 or so games.  I think I was fortunate, I jumped into an established group.  First game was Geth/Goddess/Gold.  I by miracle, did well, despite dropping on the first wave.  I almost missed extraction as well.  With 11 seconds to go, I realized I needed to make like a bread truck and haul buns.

2nd game was Reapers/Condor/Plat.  I did well there too, clutched wave 8 with 3 Marauders 1 Phantom and 2 Banshees.  I missed extraction though.  I went tanky on that one, N7 Destroyer with Particle Rifle and Crusader Shotgun.

3rd game, was Geth/Rio/Plat.  I chose the Huntress.  Did well until wave 10, 2 of them dropped and the 3rd was AFK.  I ran out of gels and it was a hack objective.  Now I remember why I hate Primes.

Glad you decided on manning up and going gold and plat. Really nothing to learn in silver and bronze besides basic game controls.

I hear you, I haven't played this since Oct 2014 (according to my N7HQ challenges chart).  I picked up other games and a few other new hobbies (Comic books, movies and such)  Plus getting a new job that would go to hell if I wasn't on call in case of emergencies.  It felt good having to clutch that plat game on Condor though.  I didn't freak out or anything.  I just simply remembered to look for the Marauders first, then the phantom, then widdle away at the banshees.

That was my first worry, get the controls down again and remember some basics like when to use soft cover vs. hard cover.  I still need to relearn the spawn points though as well as get used to the speed on gold and plat.

Wat I honestly think is going to happen to the Freys....2 situations.... 1: Jon and Sansa manage to work a meeting together with him / his family..where they murder all of them..kinda makes sense..since that could really, really help their recruiting chances for the other clans.......by murdering the people that murdered their family....or No. 2...Aria returns and uses her brand new infiltrator ninja skills to infiltrate and just walk up on good old  walter frey and slit his god damn throat. ;)

Yeah but IIRC enemies do less damage on silver/bronze and also have less health. It'll just teach you poor habits. Best to stick to gold and run no amps to get you that platinum feel.

My biggest issue was trying to get headshots again going back to PS3 from PC. Really have to utilize the hell out of that auto aim mechanic. If you want to take things a little easier you can always go with OP kits/weapons. Also speccing into some fitness also helps but once again bad habits. The only time I take hardcover is when Praetorian lazer or trying to get grab medals. Right hand advantage all day

You sound like the perfect candidate to come and carry me.

It must be funny to come back after so long. Reminds me when I was one of the 2 lucky people that witnessed dida's first game after his year long break. He realised that the drellgod had biotic charge on wave 10

Anyway would you mind if I added you? I have delicious curry.

Son of a ******. I hate work, and timezones.  :crying: Maybe tomorrow then.

Haha, same story always. I just needed to update my avatar on ps3, and happened to boot up the game too. Not home, and not taking this back there, so unfortunately I think this is a one off thing

I've played about 12 hours on pc about a year ago but yeah, havent been on consoles for a good while. It is funny and fun, testing how quickly it comes back. Having trouble finding games though, which is to be expected i suppose.

And can add me, i might be around next weekend (when visiting folks the next time lol), but also might not.. Krjn_09.
