Like it or not we don't really have a choice. Ironic huh.

Not really, because I was giving an opinion :P

There is a high probability it is a galaxy not yet interconnected enough for 'galactic politics' to really exist. I imagine they will land on and deal with planets separately, if not literally stay within just one solar system, possibly.

Aren't you assuming they've been Cthulu-thized? Considering Andromeda's supposedly about the same size as the MW, yet contains "twice" the amount of stars, it might even be more connected, as there's likely shorter distances between systems.

the whole point is that i want to incinerate some politicians.

but it doesn't matter because nobody reads the original post. GODDAMIT

This is a ME forum. We either save the "council" so they die later or they listen and die later, anyway. They're fated to perish, there's nothing they can do!

Aside: prefer the "Mars Attacks" vid, the latter was too honest and boring to hold my attention.

Hopefully Andromeda actually has some competent politicians. The Shepard trilogy was really over the top in how it portrayed every politician as either incompetent, a complete d-bag, or both.

Agreed. Diplomacy, nrgotion, and smooth governance are generally considered good things. Omsofar as the series deals with politics, I'd also like more spaces between "rah rah cooperation" and "genocidal maniac." I'm moderately right-wing in American terms and spent a lot of time horrified at some of my optins. ("No, I don't have a problem with aliens, but the Council gives me the creeps")

There is no correlation between size of a galaxy and how developed or advanced the civilizations in that galaxy are. The Milky Way is a sample size of 1, for judging how galactic evolution ought to be.

I was actually thinking of the potential for sharing technology, which would happen at a greater rate since Andromeda has star density.
