I hope it's like SWTOR where you can flirt with many NPC's, like Darth Lachris, Hunter, etc. If you flirt with companions that usually results in relationship, but these mini romances can be very refreshing and not just the same old recruit-sidequest-bang-technically married thing. It would be interesting if we could cheat our partner (like Sith Warrior). It would also be nice to get letters from our love interest (and other characters).
How will mass effect Andromeda handle Romance ?

I don't like surprises. I base whether I buy the game on day one or just wait until I've seen if I like the companions and romances. The characters are a big part of my enjoyment of these games and whether I'll like my squad and romance options determines how soon I'll bother picking up the game. Good companion friendships and romances can save an otherwise "meh" game for me, but without them it just feels bland and dry. Like Inquisition, the line up didn't impress me much, so I waited for the GotY edition. I hope we know who all the companions are (a brief description) and which ones are romances before it's too late to pre-order.
This is one thing I've never worried about with BioWare, though I agree I do want to know something about some of them if not all. I've always found their characters interesting. Even if I don't like one of them, they still interest me, and occasionally the one I dislike will eventually do something in another game that makes me re-think my feelings.
For the romance part, I have to wait till I actually spend time with the character before knowing if it's a romance I want to bother with. I'm often surprised so i don't mind not knowing this. DAI, the information about the characters was one reason I did buy the game early and I haven't been disappointed. Well, not a big fan of Viv, but even she has funny dialogue with IB.

If they do what they did in DAI I would be fine with that. I was honestly fine with the meaningful sex scenes in ME 1. Why they went with tame ones for 2 and 3 it was like blah.
