I propose a compromise - include a toggle for the narration, so those who want it can have it, but those who don't can switch it off. It's distracting for me when I'm trying to read, especially since I read faster than he talks. At the same time, a narrator for all codex entries would be great not just for those who want it but also for dyslexic players who have difficulties with that much tiny text in chunks.

I want Liam Neeson. We need the major codex entries to use that same codex narrator! It was so cool! I don't know of any other game codex that is audibly narrated....my god, that was it! That was why the Mass Effect world drew me in. It reminded me of the 90's, popping in a disc of Encyclopedia Britannica to learn about gross medical terms and human anatomy. It doesn't get any more factual than this! The facts...the lore... the fictional history, the First Contact War....they factually happened. The droning male voice of authority said so.
I'm going to be hella mad if they don't bring back that voice.
