Because that face isn't really male... nor female. It's... something else.

The guy on stage said "We can't wait to show you more this fall"
WTF?!? I don't want to believe that this is all we're getting from this years E3. The same vague developer diaries type trailers as last years E3. I'm going to be very disapointed if this is all they have for us right now. The game is like 7-9 months from release...

My theory is that they still don't actually have any gameplay, or any plans as to what to do beyond their graphics/cutscenes. They're going to rush out some generic BS at the last moment, because they haven't bothered thinking about what to do, just how to make it look pretty, and how to structure conversations and dialog options. Afterall, it IS Bioware we are talking about.

Hair is important. Anyone who doesn't think so, should try touching the hair of a long-haired person without permission (especially if the person in question is a guy). Friendships are lost over less. Hair is sacred. To touch it is blasphemy ![]()

What the hell is that asari?! Are they serious?? That's scary.... my jokes to create a male asari species in the andromeda section must have been taken seriously by bioware hehehe ![]()

I'll call you when they don't. You can help me burn down biower for deleting the dextros.
So, we have seen krogans and asari...humans and some aliens we will be fighting... yet, no mention of quarians.....by any chance are you going over to the andromeda section to burn it down? If so, would you like to carpool? ![]()

Ha come on Teabaggin, it's a guy ! How can't you see it ? Real life advice : avoid certain dance clubs or a trip to Brazil, you're the kind of guy who could end up with, well... not exactly a woman.

That said, since asari are supposed to be asexual, perhaps androgynous faces make more sense for them afterall.
I've seen prettier men than that asari is.

Alright that made me laugh, especially the dance club bit. To be fair though, some of those dudes (dudettes?) do look rather convincingly female that anyone can fooled. Oh for the record, no I'm definitely not into that! ![]()
But I wasn't really saying that the new asari was hot or all that pretty either. Just that compared to the average asari, she's actually kind of alright looking. Yeah sure Liara and Samara were pretty hot but most of the npc asari we meet aren't all that good looking Imho.
Not to mention Aria, who's more manly than half the krogan we meet. What was even more noticeable to me was the improved graphics and the difference could be seen in the way they've rendered the skin, eyes and the face overall. I'm not one for androgynous asari either but I honestly didn't mind it all that much. She's definitely no Liara 2.0 though.

I havent been here in a long time probably a year or so. I was around when bsn was different from how it is now. It wasnt a forum it was more like facebook with groups and things like that. My old name on here was Queen_Angel. Whos still here?
I'm still here and I remember you! ![]()
Speaking of the new Asari, I actually posted over in the andromeda forum in a topic discussing the new Asari. After reading some of the threads I realized people are really serious over there, it's actually kind of unsettling. I'm going to go back to avoiding other sections of this forum. ![]()

Oh, pretty! Hopefully it'll look pretty when played, Uncharted kind of way.
And I really liked the cheeky Asari as well. Though I've never been a fan of Liara/Samara/Aria and the whole green blue alien space babe thing.

Yes, that's BioWare in a nutshell. Seems like ME3mp & ME2 are the only games with some thought going into gameplay and balance. Let's hope their end of development gameplay blender works well enough too this time around.
