The general rap on the guy is that he's essentially a disguised marketing channel, not that he's wrong about stuff.

He's not a covert field agent undercover with ISIS. There are pictures of him online having lunch with Bioware execs. I don't know how he gets access or if he's paid to report this information as some sort of soft marketing ploy (which seems like it would be ineffectual as 90% of customers would have no idea who he is) but he has access and is a reliable source of information so far.
It's irrelevant now as in about 19 hours, we'll know much more than the few morsels of info we've been served up so far.

Errrm... careful. He's speculated a lot in the past, and only a few things he predicted were true. If you make 1000 assumptions and 5 of them are true, people will say it's a reliable source, however, if he's actually an inside game journalist or whatever you wanna call those guys and does leaks, he could be an insider for some companies, like bioware, and because he knows things about their games, makes true predictions, and then makes predictions about other games, people will listen, too. If someone like shinobi goes "oh man this game has a story" people will go "holy **** the game has a story!", and when BioWare unleashes hell on twitter and tweets like nobody's watching, and shinobi goes "holy crap, they will show stuff on E3/EA Play!"... that's something my tiny brain could've made up from the puzzlepieces as well...

It's like these fortune tellers from the past. Telling loads and loads of things about the future, like that guy, that said a man named hitler (he didn't even say hitler) would rise someday and fight a great war. If you start looking for things that aren't there, you might find yourself seeing things that aren't there. You throw out a bunch of things and part of it has to be true, it is basically just mathematics.
And you thought it would, because...? With all my respect to the ytube channels and videobloggers, they should probably be more subtle with 'I think I know what we will see tomorrow' stuff. I've completely ignored youtube and vblogs for the past decade unless it's a specific music video or trailer I want to see, so I wasn't prepared for the 'self-promotion' thing lacking content
