Is there an alternative to using excel for compiling 2das or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new copy of Microsoft office?
2das to gdas...an alternative?

Excelprocessor converts the files to GDAs. GDApp can be used to edit the GDA files or to create new GDA files.
I haven't started with an Excel spreadsheet for years.

It's certainly the most expedient method. While GDApp is useful, it's a bit clunky when trying to deal with large GDAs. You could try OpenOffice, LibreOffice, etc. and see if their XLS compatibility has improved any in the last few years.

OpenOffice has not improved (or if it has, I pity those who used it before the improvement)
I agree that GDApp is a bit clunky, but I kept finding myself changing 'one more thing' after I created the GDA. Over time, I found that I was taking the shortcut of going straight to the gda instead of starting in Excel.

yeah I'm constantly having to add to mine. I just downloaded it. I'll try it out when I get home.

Yeah that wouldn't surprise me. I've run into issues with its Word compatibility (or lack thereof) a few times over the years playing friend and family tech support.OpenOffice has not improved (or if it has, I pity those who used it before the improvement)
It seems Google Docs has dropped XLS export altogether now. It only does XLSX.
Edit: There's always the option I suggested a few years back - http://forum.bioware...oob/?p=12018755

duh! I am so dumb. I read that link and when I got to the part where someone mentioned 'notebook' I remembered I still have it on my laptop. Lol I'll just put them all on a flash drive and do them in bulk.
