I have been playing the Mass Effect Trilogy since day one and I am just as crappy at playing on the PC--if not more so--than ever before. The problem stems from both my old age...age 69... and terrible reflexes for having installed the "Happy Ending Mod (MEHEM), for ME3.

 

In the middle of the battles I am constantly hitting the wrong keys on the keyboard. As a direct result I am constantly hitting the "Tilde" or the "TAB" keys which ultimately opens up the console. Consequently, I die more times than I should, because between my idiotic reflexes and my Toon... aka character... freezing in place I die a lot. Too much actually. I am certain that my neighbors can hear me screaming, yelling and cursing at the game. If only there was a way to disable the in-game console while still being able to play the "Happy Ending." Unfortunately, such is not the case. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. Still, I keep on playing regardless. So, the screaming and the yelling at the game will continue: Because I dislike playing the original ending(s). BOOMER!

You have to binge harder. Taking frequent breaks breaks the learning curve flow.

Redefine the console keys

Thanks Trooper, I didn't think of that. However, I can't find the files that you suggested for Mass Effect 3. They don't seem to exist.

Jallard, I'm about 30 (I'd have to ask my wife, I think I am going senile, I can't remember this stuff anymore) and I have trouble with the controls all the time (PS3). And curse out my stupid character for doing things like grabbing hard cover next to the phantom/banshee, etc. So don't feel too bad.

The only way to get better is to play and adapt to the game speed. Gold is the remedy.

Thanks Trooper, I didn't think of that. However, I can't find the files that you suggested for Mass Effect 3. They don't seem to exist.

It s in your "Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole " folder. Mine would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole

Then you better download coalesced editor to open coalesced.bin and go through its folder like trooper told :

Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement. I have now fixed it so the the console keys are away from my game play: F11 and F12. After all these years of working on computers and playing video games, when it comes to the keyboard I am still a two fingered hunt and ******. Still, Mass Effect 3 multiplayer is my most favorite game to play.  Everyone who plays the game are awesome to play with. Like yesterday, I played with three other people in which we instinctively played as a team. It was three awesome games. Of course it was on Bronze. But it was still awesome. Thanks again for your support.

Don't feel bad OP Jugger Nuggss is still just as shitty but he's only 32ish. I used to attribute this to the alcohol but he's actually better when drunk.

Haha..i'm pretty much the same...but that is only because i have found my favorite kit..the phoenix vanguard. So i play with him alot...but i also play with the demolisher and Destroyer kits and I may touch the fury every now and then and even with the phoenix i'm pretty average... ...So when folks see me in the lobby with over 100,000 cp...they ready up fast, but i will hit them with a text saying "i don't normally play with this kit...you may want to wait for backup..don't let the cp fool you..lol"...

 

Now there are folks that I have played with that can play fairly well with ANY kit and i'am nowhere near that level....

I'm 53,  reflexes aren't the best either,  but I'm still online when I can, still enjoying the game and looking forward to the next one!
