The Asari did honestly look male to me. Though I think its mostly the shadows and the goofy expression - when the smile fades that impression goes away.
Generally, the trailer seemed... fine. It looked quite pretty generally, and didn't tell me very much otherwise.
edit: I quite like the ship. I hope the shape allows it a powerful main gun.
Just watch in 1080 HD, you'll see all details. It's a standard planet with cities, water, with 2 Ark construction sites orbiting

They kind of remind me of the citatel with arms that open and close but more sleek and dark.
Here's the Tempest a bit more "static" . Going to start taking a closer look to those weapons now, se if I can speculate a bit.

I love these brief seconds of space visuals. There were ME2-ME2 shuttles, I tried to spot some type of vessel that was typical of particular Mass Effect races, but I didn't see anything that stood out. Maybe you guys can dissect this sequence better.

I did like what little they showed, but it was a huge disappointment that there was so goddamn little of it when I expected something on the par of Fallout 4's big unveiling. The fact that the majority of the event was spent on yearly franchises like Madden and FIFA which will sell like hotcakes even if they spent literally zero seconds promoting them makes it doubly frustrating. Wonder how much it cost to get a bored Jose Mourinho to do an appearance?
Considering more eagle eyed people have noticed other Arks so I think this is pretty much enough evidence that this is after Reaper war especially considering the more advanced looking ships and yet still very recognizable as Alliance design.
Why is there some dude in here freaking out about a random girl being shown at the end of the trailer? LOL! We don't even know who she is. Calma you fool.

Look at all that imagination at work.. let's take the Normandy and put some fins on it and paint it in new colors... no wonder the game took 5 years to make.
I'm not fond of the Tempest: it looks too wide and too long but it may be smaller in the actual game. .
Agreed, looks like we should be getting a larger variance in facial shapes for Aliens. While humans in the original trilogy had varying face sizes and shapes, aliens all seemed to share just one interchangeable face shape with the rest of their species.
I think for me it might've just been a bad angle that made it look worse than it does (I rewatched the trailer) but I think the thing that I found off-putting about it is the Season 1 Green Arrow "You have failed this city" eye paint that the Asari has.
Perhaps there's a logical story-related reason for the Asari to have it but, without context, it just looks kind of dumb to me.
I suppose I should reserve judgment, I'm just still annoyed that all we got this year was a lot of the same landscapes we've already seen mixed with shots of people sitting at their computers.
Without giving away the whole story, they could have at least said, "In Mass Effect: Andromeda, you play as [insert main character name here], charged with leading a team of explorers who are [insert slightly ambiguous plot element] in an adventure taking place [insert time period since everyone has been asking that for 3 freaking years now]."
I would've been happy with that, even without gameplay footage.
