I don't think I need to add anything to the "uh, they always looked like humans, dude, wtf?" train that seems to running through this station right now.

Yes, whatever that thing is called.
Thing is, you'd think they'd want to differentiate. They're going to great lengths to do the whole "We're not just recopying the Shepard trilogy!" mantra, so you'd think they'd come up with a vastly different design for the "main ship" as well.
Not to mention, the Normandy was a joint creation, was it not? Human and Turian design? So why would the Tempest, which is I'm going to assume, a human-only creation look like a ship that was partly designed by Turians?
If the design works, you keep using it. If not, the inside might be completely different.
Really, aside from the paintjob, the two ships aren't all that similar. I'm sure an aerospace engineer would look at them and not see many similarities at all.

They were going for human centric right from the start so it's kinda stupid to complain about it now.
That makes zero sense. And from the start of what?
Also all three, Lost Planet, GoW and ME are are very similar in their gameplay and so there is that whole aspect of 3rd person shooter and all three of them being a whole combination of several classic scifi tropes.
All three being third-person shooters means all 3 should have the same aesthetics, design philosophy, etc? Are you trying to troll me or does that actually make sense to you?
And really at least 9 months before release and "everything" is behind schedule?
Learn2Calendar. We're not "at least 9 months" away from release, we're AT MOST 9 months from release.
You know they have the whole thing called N7 day so they might be emulating Bethesda and giving a whole load of info on N7 day followed by solid couple of months of PR.
Oh yeah, N7 Day. That day they've never used as an info dump even once. That makes a lot more sense than using the giant platform of E3 to promote the game. ![]()

I thought the asari looked quite plain; not exactly good-looking, but I wouldn't describe her as ugly.

Huh? Do you even know what the heck I'm talking about? THe Asari face/bone structure is TOO HUMAN looking. It's like I'm watching a Star Trek TV shows with terrible alien race designs. Maybe change up the nose, cheek bone structure, eyes shape and ect.
Yeah, look at the original trilogy Asari, they totally don't look like blue humans, amirite?

And here I was thinking they might discuss story! Ach well, lore rape confirmed.
That escalated quickly.

That stuff had to look and feel familiar. The question of how the hell they manage intergalactic travel is a big one. That does require more advanced tech than any we've seen. I hope the explanation is good.
I don't care much, it was destined to be some space magic from the beginning, aka "we've found super-Core technology in ancient prothean trash bin". So as long they try to stay consistent with trilogy events, I'm fine.

I'm sure I'll always sort of wish they'd just chosen a default ending state for ME3 (or not botched it to begin with) and let us continue to explore the remaining 99% of our unexplored galactic backyard. Still, Andromeda could hold some great stories, if they come up with a good segue to get us from here to there.
Well from the trailer the woman wakes up so maybe it is some kind of stasis? Like freeze all of them for a few thousands of years while the ship goes on?

Doesn't look much advanced to me. They still use old weapons and new Mako looks like improved versioned M-35, which already was replaced by Hammerhead in ME2. The only progress is in ships and a bit in armor.
I was specifically referring to the ships, which are quite advanced in appearance - more than anything we've ever seen before.
The Mako is the M-40 Mako...considering we used the M-44 Hammerhead and the M-35 Mako, that strongly supports leaving before ME3 in my opinion.
Which would make the design of the ships more artistic leeway. Which is fine.

The premise still sounds retarded. Sending people to Andromeda when 99.99% of the Milky Way remains unexplored is the equivalent of NASA sending people to Alpha Centauri when we haven't even walked on Mars yet. It feels really disappointing that they had to flee to another galaxy just to protect Casey and Super MAC's endings from retconning.

The Asari looks like Lilo from the movie Lilo & Stich. Actually, it's got Stich's skin color, so maybe if Lilo and Stich had an offspring.

Lmao people are pretending that Asari were nothing but dumb, blue skinned humans females with tentalcles for hair in the 1st trilogy. They didnt look alien then and they shouldn't now. Such a ****** race.

I'm loving the aesthetic of the game (from what we've seen). Looks very much like the Mass Effect we know and love; the ships and technology, biotics, structures etc all look very much like they did in the original games.
I want to point out the squadmate @ 1.20 in the trailer. From a glance he looks krogan, the figure is sort of the same, especially with the hump on his back. But the armour looks tribal almost and the face looks nothing like a krogan. Is this perhaps the first look at one of the new "friendly" species in Andromeda? Or could it perhaps be some new krogan variant, a mutant krogan? We know it's not a new design as we later see a normal-looking krogan dropping someone off a platform.
Very interesting.
Sad we didn't get to see many of the familiar species from the Milky Way. We saw asari, krogan and salarian which was nice but I'm hoping all the others will be making a return too.

Right, which is why going to Andromeda to escape the Reapers is the only plot which even remotely sounds plausible.

When madden e-sports gets more air time than EA's AAA RPG...
Especially given that this has far wider global appeal than an almost exclusively North American-only sport.

Oh really? They screw that up and have to stick with the terrible design. If they have the balls. Change it for the better. Not a lot of people will complain. Too bad there aren't any mods supported. They are a damn alien species so it's not that hard to come up with that their body and face structure can shape and adapt to certain region of the Galaxy.

'Tis verily the end of the world, I tell you.
Qunari getting grey and growing horns? Elves becoming anorexic then getting a proper diet again? A rhinokrogan in an earlier trailer? Batarians looking almost nothing like they were originally in the codex in ME1?
Scrap that. Asari have eyebrows. Someone call 911!

That's the reason I preferred if they went with "escaping Reapers super secret plan #76242". At least that's a mandatory motivation. Here we have colonization mission in peace-times aimed at (multiple) different galaxies despite empty colony space with resources and hundreds of new homes for humanity being 99% of the galaxy. It's unplausible for any scientific project at this stage of Citadel society developement, neither it makes sense economically if one thinks about bringing back "spoils" from Andromeda. I guess we'll see but they better have darn good excuses for all these issues

Right from the start of the franchise. And if you didn't get what I was trying to tell you even If I spend the next hour trying so you won't.
And no you learn to calendar. Its june right now. the sixth month of the year. Summer. The winter goes from december to february, spring starts in march which is the third month of the year so spring 2017 is nearly 9 months away. Spring 2017 is also April and May is also spring. SInce May 2017 is the fifth month of the year there is the possibility of MEA releasing early May which is 11 months away.
And if you haven't noticed EA has a lot of other stuff on EA like Battlefield which makes more money for them so it makes sense for them to focus on stuff that is easily bankable on E3 and then have the ME dedicated stuff on the day they dedicate to ME stuff. Anyway I am off to sleep I need to wake up for work tomorrow.
