Wait. I thought the in-engine trailers looked pretty lackluster compared to the actual game? Am I the only one who thinks that? And I strongly dislike DAI.

Really, it's like I'm in Wonderland... minus all the fun stuff

Yes, you are the only one who thinks that. The "in-engine" DAI trailers are objectively smoother, more refined, better animated and of higher graphical fidelity than the actual game.

This is what people said about DA:I and we all know how that turned out...

I'm honestly more concerned about how they will handle the plot and the seemingly inconsistencies of Andromeda with the triology rather than the graphics and animations. They look amazing to me in the trailer tbh.

Am I the only person who actually liked this trailer?  I don't understand all the negativity.

the problem has more to do with the volume of content people expected and less to do with whether they liked the content or not. generally i feel the video showed beautiful things. that doesnt change the fact that its a very short and vague video.

If you say so. I mostly remember I didn't like how any of the character's looked in the trailers all that much, but my worries were very much assuaged once I saw them in the actual game. The scenery also looked better, I believe. But hey, that's just one man's opinion. I may think DAI was a boring snorefest, but at least it was a pretty looking one.

No gameplay, no info dump, just a few glimpses and that's it. Game looks good but after all this time thats what we get after the last E3 teaser.

Who's the narrator of the trailer? Sometimes sounds like Mark Meer and sometimes sound like Brandon Keener.

After all this time.... this is it? CD Project Red aint got nothing to be fraid of. Looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 way more. Not looking forward tot his. I get the feeling the story isn't important and they want to turn this into another shooter series.

Then they're doing a bad job of it seeing as how they didn't show off any shooter gameplay. There's more 'Monster Hunter' in this trailer than 'Call of Duty'.

No there isn't. Not unless there's another delay. And we're so far past pre-alpha at this point. That was a weak excuse when people kept using it to explain why Inquisition was so ugly compared to the "in-engine" trailers and I really don't want to see that excuse being thrown around for MEA.

First half of 2017 is what's being reported. We're currently 13 days (depending where you live) into the second half of 2016. Therefore we have anything up to a year, or, anything up to 352 days if you want to be pedantic.

To be fair, the odd facial expressions may be intentional. The character may be someone you're supposed to view as somewhat off, sort of like Sera.

I don't think so, mate. The character looks young but I'm talking about the smoothness of the animation, or lack thereof. It looks like a puppet on a string. Look at the way the mouth drops in an over exaggerated manner. There is no progression between expressions. There is one then there is the other immediately afterward. Try moving the video frame by frame to see what I mean. It's really poor when compared to other games.

I doubt the game will look as good in reality graphics wise, especially on consoles. I suspect this is pre rendered stuff, not in game.

My bet is that the Asari is a human & asari offspring, that's why she has eyebrows and a philtrum.

Unless they decide to completely re-write the lore, that ain't the reason.

I don't really care what's being reported. Q4 2016(Jan-March 2017) is the official release window. Until BioWare confirms another delay that is the release window.

Considering that Cyberpunk got one CGI trailer something like 3 years ago...

I don't really care either way but if that video is anything to go by, a release date in the first half of 2020 would be more appropriate.

They didn't even start actual development on Cyberpunk 2077 until recently(after The Witcher 3's DLC was all locked down). That CG trailer was nothing but fluff.

Anyone else think the gear that the female protagonist was wearing at the end of the trailer looks a little old-school?

In fact they do the opposite and when it comes to release date they say "When it's ready".

The hyperbole and cynicism in this thread just reminds me why I barely even bothering checking this place for news. I enjoyed the trailer.
