the think with Adremeda is that is the closest galaxy to earth that is like the Milky way. A spiral type of galaxy
The Large Magellanic Cloud is a Spiral Galaxy(albeit a disrupted one), so that's not why.

Some smaller galaxies between us and Andromeda, in different shapes (go to wiki if interested). But yeah, Andromeda is closest big galaxy to us
"We made it..."

There's a few tidbits in this Kotaku article...
Kotaku: BioWare Wants Mass Effect Andromeda To Recapture The First Game's Wonder
Vaguely, though: Walters said the team is trying to blend the cinematic, linear missions people liked in the previous Mass Effects with a richer, more open experience on the surfaces of the worlds players explore. “We want to lean into that open-world experience. We don’t want you to feel like you’ve landed on the planet with one objective and then leave the planet. We want you to spend some time there.”
BioWare knows when Andromeda takes place, for example, but they want to be vague about it publicly. “I think it’s fair to say that with even the most creative scientific advancements, it’s hundreds of years to travel to Andromeda,” Walters said. “So that should give you some sense of how far in the future it might be.”
Here’s one thing some trilogy fans may appreciate knowing: they’re determined to nail the ending this time, especially after the divided fan reaction to Mass Effect 3’s ending. “I think it’s fair to say we are very sensitive on the project about our ending. And we a lot of internal focus testing on it as well,” Walters said. “That’s probably something we’re more aware of and we’re paying more attention to it for sure. It’s changed in that regard.”
Oh good! Does that mean we'll get the whole crayon box instead of just three colors this time? ![]()
That was kinda disappointing. Not because I didn't like what I saw, but it's been a year yet we still barely have any info. It's hard to get excited like that tbh.
Oh well at least the game looks fantastic. The animations, graphics, characters, environments and our new ship, everything look great. Now I wanna see some actual gameplay!
bioware give us great game, please.
give us ME TRILOGY PS4 ![]()

no apparent hair physics though.
makes me sad.
This is how you make a trailer to hype a game.

It moves a little bit when she turns her head.
I hope people understand that the game is months away from launch and giving us an actual trailer or gameplay footage now is a bad move. They did the right thing in showing us BTS content and some info from the interviews.
I haven't saw a reason to this day to care about this game.
Same, I am still waiting for them to give me a reason to be hyped about Andromeda. I don't get hyped over things I know nothing about.

Really? There have been games that show gameplay a year or years before the game came out and it did great. For example the original Mass Effect. And that tactic has generated huge hype for those games, and with more evidence to back hype up thus sustain it.

People will still complain about the game not being released soon. If not that then something else. If devs decide not to show us something then likely they are still working on stuff. It's easy to judge from here while we have no idea about what's actually going on the inside. If not satisfied then people have to deal with it.

Except we do know what is going on in the inside. Mac Walters said what is in an interview. They are on the final stretch, and are focusing on polishing now. That means things like the gameplay is essentially finalized so is ready to be shown. They can even put a *not depicting final product* or something if they are worried people will say it doesn't look good enough.

Some points he made sound suspicious. Maybe they are not confident enough to show us more yet as people jump to conclusions at "subject to change" content. They are trying to be careful.

If they're not confident enough to show us more, even with a "subject to change" disclaimer, then that points to a whole new range of possible issues. Also note that they didn't put a ballpark estimate for the release at the end of the trailer, which is something that was present last year.
While there might be problems, it should be noted that saying 'subject to change', didn't stop people complaining about the stuff that changed from the PAX DAI presentation. People will complain no matter how much you stress that the demo, video or trailer isn't necessarily the final rapresentation of the game.
Let's consider ME:A will launch around March 2017 and if what Mac Walters said is true then why need 10 months, freaking 10 months just for polishing? Unless they is due work left to do and he tried to convince people by stating that the game is in polishing stage, "Guys, we are right... there".
no apparent hair physics though.

that was is CGI so i doubt you can see if there is physics or no

LOL 10 months for game as big as ME A is nothing. Really i hate this "fans" post that claim to know how the production process works.

It wasn't CGI.

10 months is a huge time and polishing doesn't take that much. I may not know the production schedule and all that but I do know what "polishing a game" means.

i do know too what "polishing a game" mean, and is a big phrase that include 100 of differences jobs, form animations, programing, texturing. So 10 months for somethings big as ME A is nothing really and probably they been on "polish" state for longer.
