Yup I also think it is. I wouldn't be suprised to have another ark with the name "Endymion" (coming from the same book saga)

Dan simmons' books are wonderful and classic scifi books

 

Now, the Hyperion/Titan symbolic works fine too ~

I was looking at my screengrab from the trailer and wondering why no one spotted that name before. It's much blurrier due to YouTube compression, and that's why it's not so obvious, but actually you can still just about make it out once you know where to look...

I wonder if Tempest is a tribute to Jim Morrison and Riders On The Storm (A tempest is a storm.) Be cool if it was but I'm probably overreaching again. Damn i wanna here that song in the soundtrack now though, it fits.
