This was a trailer with alot of flashing images. Enough Youtube people will dissect it into bits, enough interesting story bits, but I was hoping for more. Showing next to nothing less than a year before release is not that of a good marketing campaign I think.

Not even. Did you see those facial animations? Oh, you mean the graphical fidelity? *Sigh*

 

For some reason graphics in itself just don't ever impress me this gen. It looks better, sure, but it already looks so good in the previous games it's hard to be as impressed. Their artistic potential has long been reached. If anything I feel as if ME:A looks less artistically inspired.

 

3 years and this is all that has happened. Even ME1 started out with a barebones tech-demo with Casey narrating the concept and potential. As much as I want to blame EA for not giving more, it reeks of Mac being an incompetent director. The words were nothing but platitudes as always. He just wanted it to look and sound cool.

 

The only thing that intrigues me about this official premise is the "you are the alien" part, but that was leaked ages ago.

 

Also, their 2014 portfolio footage that leaked had more to it than this I feel. What have they been doing?

The primitive looked semi romancable as well. Did anyone catch what the creepy looking head guy at the bottom of the screen where, they look to have armoured heads.

That wasn't a trailer. That was exactly more of the "CG fest" which we were told we wouldn't be seeing.

 

Great job Bioware... you managed to make yourselves look like a bunch of slackers for the third E3 in a row and everyone is cringing at your embarrassment now.

 

...What, was it too hard to cut a trailer out of that random portfolio footage? Did we absolutely have to see yet another BTS video of you sitting at your desks? What the heck is going on with the development of this game?

 

Also, kudos to Shinobi for being so positive and overpromising about what we were gonna see. "Trust me, it'll be good!", my ass. They're going to slap everything on this project at the last minute just like DA:I and we'll get a rushed-ass, mess of a game like always. I can't believe I fell for that!

 

The sheer mania of people on these forums is endlessly fascinating.

Only the ship was revealed. We still don't know anything about the PC and we didn't see any actual gameplay.

 

I am willing to take a guess, and I'm 90% confident that the young woman at the end may just be one of the protagonists.  Yes, we didn't actually see gameplay, but saw glimpses.

Also one thing is for sure, they do go into stasis mode when in the ark.

Well...that was...a let down, especially given that they hinted there would be a bigger presence this year.

 

I mean, it looked great from what I saw, but I still have no idea what the actual story is, other than we're going to Andromeda.

 

For all the time spent on fraking Madden and this rather awkward FIFA presentation that's going on now, I was expecting a bit more for ME. The lack of reveal and details is a bit aggravating.

Madden was actually more interesting and innovative than the garbage I saw in that trailer. Moar humanity **** yea (surprise! built the Ark and Crucible). Moar "exploration". Moar spacebabes and battletoads. No substance.

 

It's official, Hack Walters killed the franchise in ME3 and is now merely having his way with the corpse.

I posted that in the E3 play thread, but makes more sense here.

 

There was some interesting stuff in there.

 

First, it confirms more of the old leaks (the Tempest was mentioned back then + ship landing on planets).

 

Second, some stuff from the leaked dev FX reel show up in there, what is interesting is that cheek-tattoo guy seems to be at the helm of the Tempest and then thrown off a cliff.

 

Third, I don't think the Ark is shown above Earth. Some of the ships around the planet aren't something we have seen in the Milky Way...

 

Fourth,  there like 2 Arks in the last shot (there is another huge ship behind what we call the Ark).

When madden e-sports gets more air time than EA's AAA RPG...

 

Madden makes several times more money than any RPG on the planet, so that's kind of a given.

 

Anyway, what we saw was very cool, but we didn't see enough. I know they want to do it Fallout 4 style and not reveal too much too early, but Andromeda was announced more than a year ago now, and we still have barely two minutes of actual in-game footage. This becoming a bit old. Hopefully from N7 Day onwards they will open the floodgates.
