That would be warranted for, I'd say. This was abysmal IMO. If it had been last year, fine. 3 years since they announced it and this was all they could put together for an E3 press conference? That's worrying. I don't think the development of this game is on schedule whatsoever.

Meh. Makes sense that they'd want to hold stuff back. The game won't ship for about 9 months and it's just common sense to try encourage peak hype close to release.

Oh, I've already begun anticipating when this game releases in 2018.

 

Guys, guys, guys... they aren't "Holding anything back". Why would they be? If they actually had something to show they would've done it; this is their big chance to impress the entire world with their game when everyone, even NON-Mass Effect fans are tuned in, and all we get is some BTS, dev/portfolio footage? It reeks of development trouble, I tell you. They'll have to work really fast if this game is going to have a great 2017 release.

Also, it's pretty evident that the conference is on a tight schedule and catering primarily to EAs sporting titles. Just because we didn't see a lot doesn't mean there isn't a lot to show, it could just mean that they got given a 5 minute time-slot and did the best they could with it.

Everyone's talking about how short this trailer was and .. yeah, it was indeed a bit short.

 

But what's in there is just phenomenal, don't you think? The visuals, the environments .. AND THIS MUSIC. Seriously, this has to be one of the best sci-fi soundtracks I've ever heard.

At about 1:20 after the (yahg?) attacks, there are three people... person on the left looks like possible alien since the helmet seem too large for a human.

When the character on the right turns around, it seems to be a human soldier in the white combat armor. And of course... the krogan. The krogan is everywhere in this trailer, hehe.

I posted that in the E3 play thread, but makes more sense here.

 

There was some interesting stuff in there.

 

First, it confirms more of the old leaks (the Tempest was mentioned back then + ship landing on planets).

 

Second, some stuff from the leaked dev FX reel show up in there, what is interesting is that cheek-tattoo guy seems to be at the helm of the Tempest and then thrown off a cliff.

 

Third, I don't think the Ark is shown above Earth. Some of the ships around the planet aren't something we have seen in the Milky Way...

 

Fourth,  there like 2 Arks in the last shot (there is another huge ship behind what we call the Ark).

 

But they were aware of those leaks, I'm confident of that.

What's the point of confirming and reconfirming leak after leak? They knew people had high expectations, they said on their last blog we should expect more on this E3. What the actual F was that? 3 times now, without counting wasted N7 days.

Yup, there's 2. Prob makes sense to launch multiple ones just in case, or in different directions
