MEA has been worked on since 2013. It's now June 2016. WE couldnt get a cool demo? No, we could not. Shame, shame, shame.

As I said in the other thread, this trailer really seems like it would have been better last year. This has announcement trailer written all over it.

Dev promises which may or may not come true
Just a smidgen of gameplay
Vauge new stuff to cause speculation for months

Is anyone really surprised by this? Do people not remember them showing Inquisition way too early and having to cut out features that they initially showed off? Why would Bioware shoot themselves in the foot like that again?

The game will probably go feature-locked towards the end of summer, so an N7 day reveal would be about right. At the earliest maybe PAX West, but even that's doubtful.

Extensive gameplay would normally drop 3-4 months before the game, as it did with the July 2014 'Hinterlands' demo.
In short, it's simply too early.
October and N7 day seems the most likely drop date for a full gameplay trailer.

This is basically the last E3 until the game launches. We should have gotten more then a 2 minute video. That was just kind of lame.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

N7 Day 2014: Concept art, "we'll share more in the spring"
E3 2015: Teaser, "we'll share more in the fall"
N7 Day 2015: Another teaser that showed even less, "we'll share more in the spring"
E3 2016: Teaser, "we'll share more in the fall"

And they might wonder why people are disappointed

I think the truth of it is that they started talking about it too early.

Perhaps in an attempt to go 'stop talking about the ME3 ending, look, new stuff...'

I know any disappointment I feel is illogical so I'm embracing what it does offer.

Spring 2017 is still a long way away...

And no, they are not going to let Crestwood-gate happen again, so any lack of reveals is in part on us...

Demo? We still don't even know why we are in Andromeda. Or how. Or when.

Perhaps, I dunno, they'll reveal the plot of the game in the plot of the game.

They could at least hint one of those things.

I didn't expect every little detail about the game... but I did expect more than what we got. I would have at least liked to know who the protagonist is.

I'm sure more will be out on N7 day, but that feels like forever from now. And even longer until the game releases.

From what I understand a demo of some kind will be at the EA Play event. My guess is after the Battlefield demo they will show off more.

If they don't well i'm satisfied with what we got...a lot of clues in there and some of the language actually supports the cryogenic stasis theory that people touted a while ago.

What does it being E3 have to do with anything?

This is actually in line with what they've been doing the last couple of years. Gamecom, Pax West, N7 Day are all dates much closer to their launch date that I fully expect them to fully utilize. There are nine months before launch, I expect them to not pick up the pace until at least Pax.

It's the biggest game convention of the year. Developers almost always pull out all the stops for the games coming out within that next year.

VGA, Pax, Leipzig, and N7 Day are also in the future.

E3 has a lot of importance, but it's not the only place to debut something anymore to be fair to them.

So we're The Nameless One?

Updated my journal.

"Dear journal, I solved the great mystery that has long plagued me about my name. It turns out... I don't actually have one which really means nothing has changed, I suppose. Well, won't have to worry about how I'll handle a shocking revelation so that's something!"

I don't think N7 day is really a thing.

I mean has anything of substance ever been revealed then?

PAX maybe

The Super Bowl isn't the only Football game you can advertise on either. Doesn't change the fact it's the biggest and companies pull out all stops for it.
