Considering E3 isn't until Tuesday...While I understand feeling skeptical and disappointed, this is only EA Play, and it's apparent that EA prioritizes their many sports game money makers and Battlefield over other titles. Take note that there was also zero mention of Mirror's Edge and all any of the Star Wars games got was a "soon"
What does it being E3 have to do with anything?
Biggest video game expo of the year. You would think they would show off more then a 2 minute teaser trailer. Most companies pull out their big guns for E3. EA and Bioware has had 3 straight lackluster showings at E3 in a row.
Well, the Mass Effect team has anyway. The Dragon Age team had some good E3s.

The very fact that it's the biggest expo is probably why they aren't pulling out the big guns, in fact. They have less impact when everyone else is also doing it.

Im kinda suprised too if this is all fro the E3, they send one guy on the stage to talk for a minute and then 2 minute small trailer, and then just "stay tuned for some unknown fall date for more, folks". Youd think they would bring the big guns in, or did they have such a cold feet from ME3 and DAI reactions that theyre just really hush hush about everything now. "DONT TALK ABOUT IT! THEY WILL COMPLAIN LATER IF ITS MISSING!" or "They cant claim we lied if we dont say anything!"
4 long years. I think weve been polite enough and patient enough to you know, deserve to know a bit more.
Well, it can't be less than it was today.
But the game's still nine months off. I don't see the advantage in dumping stuff early just because it's E3.
They're saving it for n7day, what a shame.
Riiiiiiiight...

the trailer wasn't bad.
back to playing Fallout 4

Lol 2 E3s later and they have jack **** to show off from their game. Just more pretentious developer diaries, ridiculous.
bit disappointed that most of the EA play stuff was dominated by sports with what barely felt like 2 min for Mass Effect footage.
This showing was pointless. Other than confirming that the Tempest is the new Normandy and that we have been placed in a cryogenic sleep while aboard the Ark, there wasn't much to this trailer other than typical hype and PR talk. I have no doubt the game was going to look good and BioWare seems to be going above and beyond to improve animations for facial expressions and just movement in general. However, details were so sparse and few it's almost an insult we'll have to wait until the Fall.
Of course, unless BioWare is suggesting either GamesCom or Pax Prime, I'm assuming we won't get any substantive detail (such as a demo or extended gameplay) until N7 Day. November 7 is a long way away. Of course it won't be surprising if that's when they want to divulge all the details since the release date was pushed back to early 2017. I just don't really know if this video was needed at all since it served very little in the way of providing fans with anything. I suppose at least it was more substantial than what EA's video for future Star Wars games provided.
And not see this trailer? I think it not. Sucks we didn't get gameplay. Oh well guess we wait till N7 day. Like your pic. This showing was pointless. M'kay
> E3
Yeah, you realize EA broke away from E3 to host their own event across the street, right? What it should have been was a smaller E3 reveal, but EA wanted to try to compete with E3 because... they did so well competing with Steam, I guess? ...No, not really... hrm.
Maybe the console market is their next target! THE ELECTRONIC ARTS MADDENCUBE.

This is barely better than the trailer we got last year of pre-alpha footage and just typical PR talk about how awesome Mass Effect is. The game looks great, but I want to actually SEE it in action. I'm tired of BioWare talking how amazing it is but not showing anything. I get they want to copy BGS' approach and not show us anything major until right before the release of the game. However, they should have never leaked MEA's development so early to start. We've known the game has had a playable build since 2013. It's three years later and we still have barely seen any footage.

You do realize that EA Play is really just E3 but giving fans access to all of EA's new games? That's why they moved across the street so more than just the media could see these games in action.
It's kinda refreshing getting sparse glimpses at a big AAA title that claims to be about discovery and exploration.
Serves the premise.

That's how I felt after watching the EA Play video.

Except nothing was actually explored nor discovered. I don't care what kind of inspirational speech Mac Walters wants to give, some alpha footage and typical PR talk about a AAA title serves does not serve the game in the slightest. I know EA probably forced BioWare to show something. I get that BioWare doesn't want to reveal the game truly until right before release. This is why this trailer just came across as a waste of time. A few new, minute details, but nothing incredibly ground breaking. We don't know anymore in terms of game play about this game than we did when it was first announced.

In theory. In practice, it's EA wanting to cash in on the hype of the E3 week while saving a quick buck by footing their own bill for a cheap convention event because they've never been actually good at E3 showings in the first place. And your idea would involve actually showing more than trailers.
