I hope we'll be able to understand her when she speaks. Sera needed her own translator.
The **** did she say?
Sera: I mean its all good innit?

I wish I could give you a bundle of 10 likes for each letter of this post. This sums up the character for me.
Damn it BW give me Tela Vasir I don't want Sera 2.0 ![]()
Maybe she was a terrible poledancer so she signed up for that big Asari orplorer company, then she got recruited for this Ark mission to help with.... Exploring... that face paint might be her idea of stealth exploration....
So instead of giving us a deadly, exotic beauty (similar to Tela Vasir or Enyala), it seems they're attempting Liara 2.0, when in reality it just looks like the little ugly duckling girl next door all dressed up in blue cosplay.
Looks like BioWare are committing to the non sexualised, not traditionally attractive female characters thing they started in Inquisition.
Umm.. I thought she was cute and realistic (except for overly huge round eyes). Is it because she didn't wear makeup other than the smear over her eyes? What next? A mod to give her darker eye makeup and black lipstick to look vixen-like?

Look! Asari aren't fan service for straight males anymore! We fixed them!
*takes a shot*
I guess I'm the only one remembering critics about Ashley (pre-ME3) not being traditionally attractive or Miranda being criticized by some to the a Micheal Jackson look alike (I didn't agree on that, but some people believe that), or people calling both ugly. Or Aveline, Merril and isabela being ugly (and two of them would fit your 'non traditionally attractive' opinion). No, people started complaining about female characters being ugly or non traditionally attractive in DAI.
An asari is an asari. I just hope we're not forced to listen to our PC gush about how amazing and smart she is, or that her personality isn't stalkery and date rapey.
Ew.Looks like BioWare are committing to the non sexualised, not traditionally attractive female characters thing they started in Inquisition.
Booze goggles... hadn't thought of that.*takes a shot*

This asari is the first BioWare companion that looks really weird to me. Not ugly... weird. Like someone took a male face animation and plopped it on a female character.
But hey, de gustibus non est disputandum and such.
I don't find her attractive (though I didn't find every asari in ME attractive), but I don't think she looks like a male. Regardless, things can still change during development (Morrigan's face changes various time during DAI's development), and we saw her for just a few seconds. I'll judge her final appearance.
The shot drinking game is about every time I see someone mentions a female character looks ugly, or non traditionally attractive.

Nah.
She's just a facial animation demo. I believe the game will have show us a totally different look.
Good point.
Final Morrigan looked almost nothing like first trailer Morrigan either.
Yep, I edited my post to add that. And she changed various times as well, in different trailers and then the final version.
Not that I think it's wrong for people to be cautious or pessimistic about things of the game they knew they wouldn't like, but considering how little they shown so far it's better to wait and see what they'll do.

Just wait until they reveal she's the first transgendered Asari.
Then we can really start getting the popcorn ready...
Sorry to say this but to me she looks more like a man then a woman this is woman right ? just to be sure
I think it's less "not traditionally attractive" and more "realistically attractive characters who just don't look like flawless photoshopped cover models". [/size]
I'll get on it.
I still haven't seen your posting a thread about romancing her yet
.
Give it time.
I'm still waiting
.
We actually don't know if she would be the new Liara, but if she is, i kinda like her "5 secs of screen time".
She looks perky and fun.
Thoughts?
I dont think that its Liara but i have to admit with the frostbite engine they have certainly heightened my expectations for the game in terms of graphics and going by the look of the female character at the end of the trailer it look like they have finally listened to the fans and put in some slightly longer hairstyles, whether these can be used in CC that remains to be see but back to the asari we see she actually looks really cute im not gonna lie
The new Liara? Does that mean the ugly looking thing will be taking the main characters armor and storing it like its some kind of prize? Having listening devices put all over my ship? Being forced into cutscenes that she has no reason to be in? Hopefully whoever has that knife kills her and its at the beginning of the game. Hopefully its the only asari seen in the game
