4 years? Stop being silly.

Ok, I confused the date it was announced with the date we got the first teaser. 3 years then, since the first teaser was released et E3 2014 and the game will not be out until next year, at this rate probably only a few months before E3 at best. Let's be realistic and round that up to 3 years, shall we? https://en.wikipedia...fect:_Andromeda

Edit: Actually, I was right in saying 4 years. E3 2014, E3 2015, E3 2016, and by the time this game comes out in 2017 around E3 2017, it will effectively have been nearly 4 years since the first teaser trailer. I had erroneously subtracted 2014 from 2017, resulting in just 3 years, when it's actually 4.

"WE are real people , we are working hard on this game, we won't **** this up like the previous leads did, we are real people, you should not be angry on us because of the half assed trailer, we like space, satelites, discovery and ****. " --- TWO trailers about MEA so far.

Here is better way to describe the trailers, expecially the newest one.

- SPACE!

- Humans so pround, humans so noble

- Much patos, much sacrifice, fo' good, fo' freedom, fo' shizzle!

- pew pew

- "we believe as a strong passionate team we can do this, we see beautiful game born out of relationship of 2 potatoes...but there was something f*cked up with the relationboat, urm... we mean realtionship, so yea... this game is kinda still "under developement", if you catch our meaning."

- skip to 5 in-game "actual engine footage!" tidbits of a krogan on a toilet

- ME:A logo

- much passion from devs again!

- korean guy making some digital ME:A art using chinesse electro-pen

- PRE-ORDER we tell's ya!

I do agree that watching the devs work is not what most fans would like to see right now. Yes, it is fascinating to see how a game is brought to life. But that's not what the fans are anticipating right now. They just want the few more seconds of gameplay footage.

So, I had a thought...

All that pre-release gameplay showing off Inquisition was all alpha-style footage that had some stuff cut, if I recall correctly.

People complained about it when it wasn't in the final product.

Now...BioWare is a bit gun shy in showing anything fully, and keeping it all vague or short so that issue of people complaining about missing features doesn't crop up.

And people are complaining about this now too because of the lack of information.

I guess BioWare just can't win anymore.

Yeah sure, other devs can win but not bioware. Hire a worthy marketing team for f sake. You are showing the game for the first time in a year and you are showing this? really?

Considering how much most of you **** on marketing anyway for being too fake over the past five years...I think my point stands as being valid.

I think my point stands as being valid.

so you think what bioware would restrain EA marketing or something...don't kid yourself. Fake marketing? DAI marketing was fine. (well you have to change something after me3 fiasco) And you really think that someone in marketing department cares what you think unless it affects sales? come on.

People stop your whining If you watch this trailer close enough you will realize that combines all the types of trailer it part behind the scenes part cinematic part gameplay also this game is still at least 6 or 7 months at least. Also feel like most gameplay footage comes out 3 to 4 months ahead of time at least for more story oriented games

You should go back to school and learn how to speak proper english.

Not really, just as much as that same marketing person doesn't care about what you think either about this trailer.

What I said is BioWare is purposely not showing anything because of past reactions. EA is allowing that to fly, so its not really BioWare restraining EA marketing, its EA listening to feedback from people and not showing off stuff that might not be in the game. And so far, it seems the reaction to news and gameplay shown last time is coloring it this time.

Know what **** it, I shouldn't be explaining myself again, point still stands, carry on with your seething anger over nothing, Dubozz.

Lol this thread.

Anyway, I'm okay with the bts looks but when there's really not a lot of content for the game showcased, I can't help but be a bit disappointed.

Been a long day posting E3 updates and news write-ups. Plus some other things.

Thats where the anger rises from, my fuse was a bit short earlier. No excuse though for it.

Maybe the more intelligent thing would be to NOT announce the game until it's past the Alpha stage? That way, you don't spend years leading your fanbase on and disappointing them in the process. That too, Bethesda has learned. They announce the game only months before they are released and quickly release TONS of info. Who's fault is it people are disappointed getting ANOTHER teaser 3 years after the game was announced?

To answer your question it is people who somehow think they are entitled to information. We have known that this game was YEARS away from release when it was announced. We knew last year when we got a glimpse that the game was well over a year away because they gave a tentative release date and we knew going into this EA that the game was closer to a year way than not because of the game was pushed back into 2017.

It isn't Bioware's fault that immature people can't wait and somehow think that knowing a game is coming out entitles them to further information.

1) You don't need to know anything now.

2) Your desire for a thing doesn't entitle you to a thing, this includes information.

3) An individual's impatience is their OWN responsibility not anyone else's.

4) A developer doesn't owe you a damn thing at this point of development. They don't even owe you the release of the game. It is perfectly acceptable for them to cancel the project.

5) Bioware has been keeping us up to speed with regards to the game release date, so we are not being kept in the dark we just are not getting details yet which is reasonable given that the game is not even due out this year.

The game is at least 8 months if not longer, away from release and this assumes it isn't delayed again as it isn't uncommon for a game to be delayed more than once. There is loads of time for us to learn about the game when it is done. Until such time people need to DEAL. WITH. IT.

Wow. I find myself agreeing with Sartoz for a change. It´s a first.

Really people, wtf?

Some of you behave as if it´s your firstborn child and not a game that is made by others.

I mean seriously! We don't care to see people at their desks working on this game! This has got to be the game for which I've seen more people at their workstations working on it than actually seeing anything of the game itself. That's all we've gotten since the reveal trailer, what, 3 years ago now? Or is it two?

Ok, you don't want to show more right now. I can accept that. But STOP padding your empty hands with that BTS stuff. It's just sad, it's just filler, and it's frankly pathetic. Don't have anything to show? Then don't come and wait until you do to show up at events!

Calm down, brother. Be grateful that we at least got something to look forward to. The developers are putting so much handwork and effort into making this game. Try putting yourself in their shoes, try to understand it from their perspective -- maybe then you'll have more compassion to the people who put all their energy into making these games.

I'm beginning to realise that probably some or most of the people in the Bioware community are becoming quite hostile and ungrateful to even the slightest of information. Be at peace, man, be at peace. There are really nasty stuff that are happening in this world right now, and all you can think of is complaining because Bioware didn't reveal more? You either get something or none of it.

Reminder that when Mass Effect 2 was announced, Bioware had this to show.
