Wide open space full of nothing CONFIRMED!!
If there was something in that space it wouldn't be wide open, and the people wanted wide open.

Sure they used the same texture for sands.

I hate deserts after DAI. Seriously, we didn't need 3 of them in Inquisition!

At least a Mako covers the ground a bit faster than jogging or those lumbering horses ![]()

DA:I's problem wasn't that it had desert maps, it was that there was a lack of interesting side content in those maps.

Most uncharted worlds should look like barren wastelands.
they don't make for exciting gameplay locales though

If only they could go back to their roots, where we explored nothing but lush landscapes teeming with life.
I really wish i could like this but im all out.

Bit late for that. It's what people asked for, for four years.

I'm not expecting they'll have 100+ planets teeming with life and content.
A lot of it will be generic procedurally generated landscapes.

Mass effect is actually a game where big spaces filled with nothing would work if you go by Mass effect 1. Unlike in DAI, it makes sense to have planets filled with a few cryptic landmarks throughout an otherwise deserted map. I loved the feeling of exploring a planet in mass effect and was sad to see it go in the sequels.
