That would be extremely weird, unless the Turians got wiped out as a race.

If you pause the trailer at 0:56 when the female dev briefly comes on screen, you can see a sketch on the wall just to the right of her head. You'll need a high res version if the trailer because the image is out of focus but I'm 90% sure it's a Turian.

Of course, it's just a sketch and it could be old. But if we assume it was done within the last say, 6 months, I think it's unlikely anyone would be doing multi-angled sketches of a species that isn't going to be in the game.

you mean here ?

Turian Cabal please.

Male or female.

Their reliance on biotics rather than tech is an asset in an unknown world.  Tech can get broken or malfunction.  That doesn't happen with biotics.

A turian Cabal is...sent on long reconnaissance missions for the Hierarchy.

Their recon skills make them the perfect Turians for an exploration mission.

There's no way turians wouldn't be in this game, considering that they have a strong fan following, are central to the MEverse and are impossible to kill as a faction beyond the worst destroy outcome.

LOL really, this post are cracking me.

you guys are worrying about everything now. Next one will be. "OMG there isnt any Volus".

Turians are like 99% on the game same as Quarians in some form, maybe not as squad mates. Im glad it look like we got a Salarian, i always want one as a Squad mate.

But im telling you this, there is no way 100% of the fan base will be 100% happy with every decision it happen on every single, prequel, sequel, trilogy or what ever.

Plus as other have say, what is the point on a ME game that isnt focus on a human story???, the whole ME franchise is about humanity.

I will talk for myself : Worried about "everything"? nope. I'm just here because I like turians and want to see them on MEA. Others like quarians and opened a thread about them, others like drells etc ... I'm not worried about anything else concerning the game, I'm patiently waiting for it.

Also about the turians been on the game, yes I assume you're right, they will be here, but we simply would like to have the confirmation, that's all. Nothing bad about this and it's always nice to chat we players who like the same species than you.

About humanity, yes, and ?  It's not because it's about humanity that  aliens shouldn't be here or we shouldn't care less about us, they are part of the story and make it even more interesting in my opinion. Anyways, there's plenty of threads about this already, no need to start talking about it here.

The salarian is not confirmed as a squadmate but I agree, I'm glad they made it on the ark ~

And I want a male turian to cuddle <3

Nyreen was a nice character, I agree :) her death was perfectly unfair..........

Well, then a female turian and a male turian, so everybody will be pleased !

The problem with male and female turian both being available for romance in ME:A, is that would take up 2 romance slots... They would need to develop their personalities, dialogue, backstory, appearance ect. - so they would have a lot to work on here and this would still be just 1 race.

I think they will try to stick to max ~8-10 romancable characters in ME:A, so they need to pick carefuly where to pour resocures for developement in this section of the game.

I'm 100% sure they will include a turian romance option (since we can see a turian in the EA Play 2016 teaser as a concept art and in-game in the far background in one of the brief in-game scenes), but this time around it will be a female turian since Garrus was already available as a male option in the series.

So yea, I think they will go for the fresh air and pick female turian this time around.

I would be VERY suprised, if they gave us both male and female turian  - this decision would however cater to the entire fanbase so everybody would be happy.

And I personally also loved Nyreen as a character - she was a perfect combination of "alieness" with yet 100% humanoid appearance combined with a kindred personality type. Instead of blue woman/woman in a burka, we got an actually "alien looking alien" who still feels feminine in the way you recieve her and with a lot of character triats a human would also identify with.

Also I believe her name should have been Nyreen Stark (not Kandros) as she became a victim of the YOLODLC (You Only Live One DLC)... sadly...

Well, I honestly won't mind having a romance with a female turian but since I'm playing a female character....well, you know, I'm not sure they will make it possible

I'm pretty sure they want to avoid any comparaisons with Garrus, so they will definitivly go for a female turian romance if they have to pick only 1 option. Too bad, I would love to have a romance with the kind of character Nihlus was supposed to be.

I can't help but cross my fingers to have both available .... after all, why not ? it's just 1 slot for maleryder and 1 slot of femryder. ME 3 had 8 romance slots for each gender if I remember correctly, far enough to put a turian everywhere (I honestly don't need to have 5 or 6 human LI <_< ).

Anyways, LI or not, I always enjoy to have my turians pals on my ship :)

I would be very surprised if there are no Turians in the game.  They have always been popular with fans and they were also one the more important and prominent races in the Milky Way.  Not to mention the first aliens we ever saw in the series were Turians.

Their lack of speed, agility, and mobility doesn't exactly make them the ideal ground forces for the type of combat we'll be doing in Andromeda.

Krogans aren't fast either but make up for it in other ways

Please.

Humans are soft. Salarians, Asari, all soft. Quarians not so much. Turians? You have to work the blade. Not much point tho

Wow, you are not getting it are you?  First of all Turians practically have a military culture, they are disciplined highly trained soldiers, and tactical thinkers.  Second of all they are practically iconic when it comes to Mass Effect.

They have the strongest military.

That doesn't mean other races aren't better at certain types of warfare.

I don't believe a war of attrition would be wise in a whole new galaxy where we'll be vastly outnumbered and uninformed.

The Turian fighters who come along should be Cabal.  They conduct recon and strike fast.

What about protecting the assets we already have like the arks?  Or protecting the assets we gain throughout the course of the game?  We are going to be trying to establish infrastructure as the game progresses.  Turians would be good for these kinds of things.

Not worried at all because it's not Mass Effect without them. No need to spoil every squadmate just yet, got to save something to reveal in next year's short teaser dev diary ahead of the Fifa 2018 2 day extended press conference.

Hang in a second, it takes two days to say "we copied and pasted the last game, then changed the menu UI's colour."?

Good idea.

I initially wanted Krogans doing that, but the disciplined Turian temperament makes them well suited for those tasks you mentioned.

Krogan love to aggressively colonize and can survive in the most extreme environments.  They're better off exploring than guarding.

It's not likely that they will not include Turians in Andromeda. Garrus was arguably the most popular team member un the trilogy. Besides, they only showed the Krogan, Asari and the Salarian squad members and I seriously doubt the game will only include three of them.
