Like, hair, real hair. What happened? They don't have hair, asari don't have hair.
Also, she is ugly.

I'm not sure if its not just a smudge of the stripe face paint.
(That resembles eyebrows because eyebrows really help a face look expressive)

Starting a thread presenting a totally subjective opinion as fact. Well done! You BSN gud!

That's pretty much it, I think. Both, I mean.
I do find it odd she has eyebrows. But then I thought the same thing of Liara. Hers seemed drawn on, though. This unnamed Asari seems to have human eyebrows. No other Asari have been shown to have body hair of any kind. To me it seems like a decision based solely on the ability to generate expressiveness in the face. Humans use eyebrows heavily in interpreting facial expressions. Emoting without them isn't impossible, but definitely makes certain things feel... off.
Also, I disagree about "ugly".

Yeah she isn't ugly she just looks different from all asari we have seen so far because frankly most of them were copy/paste europeid women in blue paint and headtentacle wigs.

Liara's "eyebrows" were the tattoo all dame have. Hers was just "more special" than the painting of the others Asari to give her eyebrows and made her more human-like.
The new Asari actually have eyebrows, and is quite strange.

Yeah, I think they've added them for the sake of expressiveness--I could see them starting to really struggle with working around the lack of eyebrows, with how much more detailed the faces and animations seem to be.
If it's a retcon, it's pretty minor as these things go - seriously, I'm used to much worse from other sci-fi franchises - and if not, well, I look forward to reading the codex entry on how humans and asari gettin' it on lead to the development of vestigial hair follicles!
Also, she's totes cute.
(EDIT: Annnd my Dropbox has thrown in the towel. These'll probably start working again later.)
Are you gonna cry? Back to tumblr.
*falls over laughing*
That 'makeup' or tattoo makes her look like an untrustworthy lunatic.
Sounds awesome!
I just think that the new graphic engine puts her in uncanny valley for some people... me included.
Or maybe it's just a close up shot was too much, considering the rest of the trailer.
(Edited to prevent recycling the same argument.)
As for the eyebrows, who knows, Liara started a new fashion trend?
Minus the long ears, hopefully quarians without suits will show up in the next trailer and look:

It COULD be her facepaint.
Though I will note she also looks a lot less scaly than Liara. Could be the lighting, though.
I think it's a child or whatever a "teenager" is to a being with a thousand year lifespan.

Liara was only scaly in ME3, though
Good. Maybe the Asari can adapt and make changes to their body and DNA structure. That way Bioware can modify them without having continuity issue/problem. I want them to move away from the too human look.

Hmm... I never made the connection before but when that Night Elf looks towards the camera it does look a lot like the shadowed faces you'd see in Quarian masks.
