We saw a Salarian and Krogan with us in the ship.

Many people loved Mordin, but he was with us for only ONE game.

Our KroBros were taken away from us in ME3.

Can we get a STG operative Salarian and Aralakh Co. Krogan?

and don't forget the Asari NURSE

Mordin was awesome. It was sad to see him die on ME3.

But yeah, it seems we have a new salarian companion. :)

Lol @ Krogan ever being neglected. All 3 games were chock full of them to the point of mild irritation, and this installment looks to have even more. Same for asari (4 separate squadmates and a billion NPCs) . Salarians were prevalent enough too, though we did admittedly "only" get one squaddie.

Meanwhile, it's almost certain the drell, batarians, quarians, geth, volus, vorcha, elcor, rachni etc. are history despite never getting anywhere near as much attention as the 3 you mentioned.

All I want to see are turians and quarians. If we get that, then I'm happy.

Stop blaming the Krogan for everything that's wrong with Mass Effect.

The catalyst was a human child, pyjaks.

What about Vorcha? Drell?

Asari aren't neglected at all, they push them hard, the movie even directly stated that "everyone loves blue!" (Which seems offensive to Asari but what do I know?) and Liara is thrown at you as if bioware just really wants us all to bed her for some reason.

There seems to be all four council races, which makes sense, but the main races will probably return (maybe not quarian)

Looks like my joke was off.

If we get an Asari, a nurse role would be perfect.

This frees up a precious squadmate space for a member of a different race.

At this point I could do without an Asari squaddie.  We've been exposed to them plenty and they only have one function.  Biotics, biotics, biotics.

Simply put I don't want an Asari squadmate.

A Drell Infiltrator would be perfect.

It takes a certain special kind of warped perspective for a character species to be present on-screen for roughly 50% of the trilogy and still be seen as "neglected."

A "neglected" race would be something like the vorcha, the yahg, or the elcor.

Their unique biology makes em perfect for exploring new environments.

How can they be trained to follow orders

From what I understand Vorcha can be trained to fit into "civilized" society if they adopted early. There were those Vorcha technicians in ME3s codex entry who were apparently good workers and those void devil war assets.

Well, if our own residential Vorcha is any indication, all you need to do is give them a flamethrower, dangle an Assari in front of them and they´ll follow every order you give as long as it involves burning things to cinders.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the races are all somehow included on the ark ship.

Andromeda I think presents an opportunity for the non-council (back in the Milky Way) races to gain more prominence. Since this is a new galaxy the races almost start on the same footing - it's not like any of them have a planet or city waiting for them there. They need to start from scratch.

What might be really interesting is if things flipped. The non-council races become the more powerful and council races the less powerful.

I'd like to see more Batarian and Drell stuff for sure - hell, we haven't even seen the females of their races. Seeing a Quarian civilization that wasn't at just about the bottom of the food chain like they were in the original trilogy would be cool, especially since it might be like getting a glimpse into what would happen if the Quarians had peace or won on Rannoch.

Volus and Vorcha are almost joke races so I don't expect much for them, but hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

What I don't want to see is a ton of Asari stuff. They were head honcho in the trilogy and we were all told they are so wise, beautiful, smart and desireable already so let's have someone else have the limelight.

I can definitely agree that it would be nice to see some of the others races receive a more upfront spotlight. If we could get a salarian on our squad, one that will last for more than single game (like Garrus and Tali), I think that would be awesome. Perhaps we will even gain the opportunity to have some squad mates from races that did not once accompany us in the trilogy, such as batarians, vorcha, volus and so fourth.

As for the average crew of the Tempest, it would be great if they avoid filling it with a pure human crew, like they did with the Normandy, and make it entirely multicultural, instead. I want to see salarians, turians, asari, volus, elcor, hanar, batarians, you name it; I would accept just about any species on my ship. The possibilities have me excited.

I just want to see the Raloi. Is that too much to ask? And maybe have someone mention those aliens that uploaded their consciousness into the giant spaceship computer.
