Bioware may do what they did in Dragon Age: Inquisition, where they leave the protagonist's exact age ambiguous but instead use an age range, like with the Inquisitor it was between 20 and 40.

I would prefer a young and inexperienced PC,not a war veteran already full of scars like Shepard.

Well I guess CC will give us some options for that, but I wonder if story content will.

Wow. One misses a lot of small details by only completing a single playthrough of a game. That's a hell of a range. Your character could be anything from "completely clueless" to "my knees hurt".

It seems unlikely. Devs mentioned a more detailed background for Ryder. It also seems likely that Ryder will start with a specific rank and position, which isn't really compatible with different ages. That's why Shepard had a defined age.
