Which one would it be?

None. The choice of a canon ending betrays the whole premise of the trilogy and the foundation being used for the new game.

The Destroy ending.

Destroy ending because it's the other 3 that irrevocably wreck the entire setting beyond repair. Destroy just temporarily deactivates the relays along with some some lifeless, replaceable toasters.

Refusal is the ending i usually go for in my "canon" playthrough, so refusal.

My choice would be either Refusal or Synthesis, but since I have no DLC I'll go with Synth.

Mind you, that doesn't mean I agree with the Reaper Squids or anything, I just headcanoned the Indoctrination Theory, that way ME3 had a little bit of sense.

I meant if you could set your canon via import/Keep (if they ever made any)/in-game questions ala TW3/KOTOR 2.

Destroy,that's for sure.

I disliked sythesis and control, and I absolutely hated the refusal ending.

What the heck, my canon ending would be: Shepard dies in ME2 ending, Ashley is named Commander of the Normandy to replace him, she's gradually indoctrinated since her contact with the Eden Prime artifact and Synthesis ending happens. Basically she'd take Shep's place in ME3.

Control with Shepaylst and the Reapers taking off for parts unknown. Leaves the most in normal, working order.

Easiest way would be to ignore synthesis and refuse and just treat them as a "what if" scenario. In control, lets just say shepard just sends the reapers out of the galaxy when hes done and goes to sleep mode, which would make it about the same as destroy ending.

But ofc that would still ****** people off.

This. The only choice. Geoffs can be reactivated.

I have to admit that without headcanoning the Indoctrination Theory the Synth ending makes no frakin sense.

None because they don't matter. But it would be Control to harness the reapers technological superiority. And I mean all races.

Except without breaking AIs or a bunch of things, yes, Destroy is the same as Control.

That being said... Yes, please, let's not do a canon. If there's one thing I love about ME3, it's that it let you make some huge choices, especially at the end. Which is why we should go to a brand new galaxy and never mention it again.

definitely destroy.

for control I believe that absolute power corrupts absolutely... synthesis is like effectively playing god on an entire galaxy without consent (similar to the reasoning if Jensen chooses to have himself killed at the ending of DE:HR because of this) and refusing is effectively condemning your species and basically making that the species that come after focus on war and violence to resist the Reapers.

I chose synthesis as I felt it was the best compromise. If I could choose an ending it would have been one that wasn't actually part of the game.

Whenever I watch the Shepard and Bratalyst conversation I remember the Leonidas and Xerxes conversation from 300 for some reason. LOL.

Exterminatus. Purge everything.

Sadly, the only way to get myself into any sort of mindset for Andromeda is to pretend the first 3 games didn't exist.

If I had to choose a canon ending, it'd simply be "Shoot everybody who even suggests canon endings!"

You would shoot the import system then?
