I noticed the protagonist is wearing armor with "A1" on it. In the ME codex it states that all military occupations have a letter designation starting with A and ending with N.

The codex also states that each letter has an accompanying number from 1 to 7 that shows the proficiency the individual has in that particular occupation.

So I have a couple of questions. Do we start off as an A1 and level up to A7? Or can we pick any occupation we wish and level it up to 7?

Also there is a picture floating around with Mac Walters wearing an "A1" shirt. It's on kotaku.

5. Also at 1:19 in the trailer, looks just like a Thresher Maw. Flying whale thing looked cool. 

 

Great topic by the way, I needed something to organize my thoughts topic by topic and in order.  

 

I looked at it multiple times and to me, it doesn't seem like a thresher maw as the object is looking very stiff and solid (the rod like thing). No little animations that an organic would have. I could be wrong.

Edit: Looked at the video again and it seems to be a straight up rock-like object emerging from the ground. The dust covering beneath it is what making it look like a long structure but it isn't.

Apart from the thing in the center of the rectangle being spherical in shape, I'm not seeing the Crucible there.Sometimes a sphere's a sphere.

I could've speculated something about it being our rank as a rookie but "Ai" seems new and no real idea where to start. Could be just Artificial Intelligence or something else? Thanks for bringing that up.

Plenty of people found out about that salarian though, and not that long after the trailer.

We knew already with off-screen convetions that salarians and asari (other then krogans who were confirmed in tweets and offical footage) would be in. I recall reading the salarian would've been a little different, I'm curious to see how they look like now.

I don't recall if thos off-screen conventions confirmed or not the turians as well.

First of all, I would like to say that I really enjoyed the trailer like everyone else. Imho, I felt like it's actually good enough to keep up the hype until the N7 Day or game's launch. That being said, I wanted to make a thread about this trailer(I know there are couple out there), try to collect everyone's opinions and speculations at one place, about what we've seen and what we might've missed from the trailer. Added spoiler tags as there are couple of gifs below.

 

1. The Tempest

 

Our new starship Tempest definitely looks amazing. Close to the original Normandy yet very different and Sci-Fi-ish. Do you think it is going to be a customizable ship?

The exterior design pretty much seems like this, just here and there.

 

2. Mako and the Worlds

 

Mako's appearance was very little but we were shown new different worlds in the trailer. Do you think BioWare is going to design planets in a very good way like adding environmental effects and natural hazards? (look at the second gif under The Tempest)

3. The Asari

 

We got the confirmation that the Asari are going to be in Mass Effect: Andromeda but what do you think of this particular Asari shown in the trailer? To me, she looks young and cute (that expression at the end  ).

 

 

4. Combat

 

There isn't much shown around combat except for this biotic jump ability. Do you think BioWare will introduce new gameplay mechanics and abilities with this game? Chances of being left handed? (look at the first gif under Creatures). Thanks to Malanek.

Cover mechanic is going to be there but no sign of destructible covers. Also, sign "Ai" on the protagonist's armor.

 

5. Creatures

 

Yahg like creatures and flying whales, will be interesting. What do you think? Planning to tame one?

7. The Ark and the Planet

 

I see multiple Ark like structures in the back excluding the big one. Do you think there are going to be several Arks built? Also what planet it could be? Earth or some other planet? Definitely has to be Earth because I see Alliance warships.

 

 

8. Characters

 

What do you think of this particular female character shown at the end? Female PC or just someone else?

Overall, what are your thoughts about this trailer and the content shown with it after 2 years? Some rumors even came to be true. Impressed or expected something better? Post your own thoughts and feelings

It's possible if the human antagonist rumor turns out to be true (I believe now). We will likely be the ones investigating him.

Im intrested in the antagonists of the game, the leaks mentions the pirates and the usual raiders but theres also the "Khet", native to Andromeda. Apparently they are not too fond of our appearing into their turf and will battle us at every corner.

 

Now a question rises, are the khet a single species, or a collection of them, like the prothean empire, where say one dominant species in the sector takes "servant" races by force. Will our task include liberating some of these species perhaps, and allying with them or playing them againt the rulers? Also khet sounds a lot like geth, which is probably a homage to the original mass effect enemy along with the Mako and all the exploration stuff.

I just realized that the arks are slowly moving, the one in front is undocking itself. Seems like it's launch day (most probably the start of the game). Also, I think there is one arkship per race coming along (Humans, Salarians, Krogans, Asari). We see three, but I think the camera rotate around a 4th ones. Their might be a 5th out of view too.

That's M-97 Viper sniper rifle. We know the pistol of course, M-6 Carnifex and a complete new assault rifle.

 

 

I think they will include all trilogy weapons and add new ones.

I like all the moves we'll be able to pull off. The animations are looking pretty real. They've obviously been working a lot on them, and I'm glad. The animations in the original weren't exactly most realistic ones lol

 

Even though I'm really  going to miss the Normandy, the new ship is looking really good. Also, weird, big-ass enemies are back, which makes me really happy. I can't wait to see what the new species are gonna be like. Same for the worlds. We don't really know much about other galaxies, so it's gonna be interesting to see what they can make up.

 

That asari is really cute too! What´s up with the eyebrows though? lol

We got to see Drake again (the Krogan), and I'm wondering if maybe the woman in the end is Cora? You know, our human companion? She was supposed to be blonde but, I don't know, maybe they changed it.

I don't see the problem with her eyebrows. Every Asari in the game have it. Or you mean the purple thing on her face? I believe it's kind of a complexion just for that particular character or it could be a tribal Asari with face paint and all.

Let's see:

 

1. Probably no or at least not anything like ME2 or ME3, it would be a plus but nothing that make or brake the game
2. On the quality of the maps we can only wait the 2017 if we will have enviromental hazard like too hot area or too cold area maybe i would say.
3. I don't get why people assume she is young, the impish grin prove only that the cryengine allow A LOT more flexibility in facial expression
4. Yeah 100% sure we will have new tool to kill enemy and hear the lamentation of their women

7. Yeah multiple ark, probably one of the cornerstone of the story will be finding where all the other arks are, Because we all know that eventualy **** will hit the fan and something will disperse ths ships.

Is that a face?

 

Pretty much looks like a Turian on the top (big chest, gap between legs) and the below one, not sure if it's a Quarian but the armor color does look close to Kal'Reegar's (red and white).

"We made it" is a delightful clue. There's a lot of hidden meaning in those three words, delivered by the female protagonist, no less!
