Here is my exploration / sub-plot theory: So, I'm thinking that "citadel-esque"/Ark thing is actually some sort of mobile super-relay capable of opening passages to Andromeda. If you look at the size compared to the incoming Kodiaks it seems a lot smaller than the OG citadel and if you look in the bottom right corner of the screen it seems there's a structure closer to that of the citadel hanging there. What if the citadel races researched the reaper carcasses and found the tech required to construct relays, that's a high possibility regardless of what ending you chose.
Then, what if in the beginning the Tempest is launched with this new relay then the peeps back in the Milky Way set the relay on course for some coordinates in Andromeda with the reaper inter-galaxy propulsion tech (of course it will take a long time to get there). While waiting for the relay to arrive you explore Andromeda in the Tempest. When the relay arrives in Andromeda your team has the objective of setting it up,thus opening a ME alley between a similar relay in the Milky Way and Andromeda. Any reason's why any of this isn't possible?

From this PlayStation Access interview (just Flynn)
- We didn't 'warp' to Andromeda, it was a very long trip
- 'The Citadel looking thing' is important to the overall story
Things that were already confirmed:
- You 'wake up' in Andromeda (so you're frozen/in stasis during the centuries long trip)
They are just ships with a design similar to the Citadel/Collector's vessel, not a relay though they might contain Reaper tech (Mass Relay science). Other species helping us seems likely because humans don't have all the expertise. The idea of stasis pods must've adapted from the Prothean facility on Ilos, by reverse-engineering the pods or whatever.
That being said. vessels like the Normandy can jump a few light years across without the help of a relay so seems like the Tempest in the trailer did the same. Also if the Tempest did came through a relay, don't you think there must be two, one at the destination point?

Finally, it's a one-way trip. Once we get there, there isn't going to be any kind of connection with the home galaxy.

I read that the female at the end of the video is NOT waking up in the Ark, so....
