I see the female's arms are still skinny as hell. Do they even listen?

My new biggest fear: Following Bethesda's example with the HD remake of Skyrim, Mass Effect Andromeda will be free for PC players while us lowly console plebs pay full price.

What else do you want them to do? PS3 wouldn't be able to handle it, you would have to buy for the version on PS4 in order to play it, and I don't think they would give it out for free. They're still a business.

I really don't like sliders cause they can get too out of hand. Hopefully choices that are above adequate. The ark better have a gym.

That would be interesting. We use gym equipment to get beefy.

For which, Andromeda or HD rerelease of Skyrim? Because I have the latest generation consoles (or at least I did til these new upgraded ones were announced recently), I'm not expecting to play any new games on my old 360 (couldn't even if I wanted to, poor bastard crashes after about an hour of play now).

The Skyim thing just pisses me off because PC players who owned the game and all the dlc's will apparently get the HD rerelease for free, but no such announcement has been made for console players who also owned the game & dlcs. We will effectively be subsidizing the PC market of the game. And that's infuriating.

I don't seriously expect EA would give Andromeda away to PC players It's just been a while since something game related has made me this angry. Though until tonight I might have said the same about Bethesda.

This thread makes for an interesting read. Getting on to the concerns surrounding the game and the exploration angle. It may not be so bad. I think it opens the possibilities up and as was mentioned BioWare is not usually so forthcoming in their storylines pre release anyway.

I like having the LI options regardless I think they can add depth to a story and, well, people are who they are regardless of societies hang ups (more power too them). Some of us even like ourselves and find it more interesting to see ourselves in the story than create an ideal that we think would fit the traditional hero. There should be more of us.

Last attempts at any kind of multiplayer for ME were failures and the exclusion of competitive multiplayer in this regard I think is a good thing. I would love the addition of cooperative game play, this is were I start getting booed, I have a love/hate relationship with Bungie's Destiny (as I am sure many of you may be in the closet about) but if BioWare can weave there story telling prowess with that style of cooperative play I think I would spend a few years and a few bucks on this game as well.

As for a fear, I think they will try to have a large scale coop game that if it does not integrate well, with the story telling, will epically fail. A fear I think is validated by the overwhelming popularity of games like Destiny, and several other MMOs. To ignore that and not include something in that area could result in a much smaller demographic for them. It may miss corporate financial goals that will limit future projects. They have to play for the blockbuster to live up to their previous titles and the industry in large part has moved on to coop interactive experiences for, as someone else commented and I'm sure I miss quote, "weirdos with friends."

Sorry, did... did you just say ME3 Multiplayer was a failure?

It's the most addictive and beloved multiplayer game I have ever encountered on this earth.

I'm at a point where I think the story will suck.  Way too much exploration talk for me to believe they have a well crafted story in place.  Companies focus on what they think will sell so at this point I highly doubt it's the story.

People kept complaining all these years, "Why do you keep vocally reminding Bioware about the story and complaining about the failed exploration aspect in DA:I? Stop; you've made your point. Why do you post the complaints everywhere, at every opportunity, to perhaps catch Bioware's slim attention span as it passes by like god over the waters - a small complaining fish in the vast ocean under its jurisdiction? Obviously they have listened by now, so it's time to stop posting the complaints and the reminders that focusing solely on exploration is not what fans want."

And now I would like to point to the reality we are facing now.

You do realize that Skyrim has HD mod that arguably equal or even better than the HD release by developers, right?

You want them to charge PC people money for something that has already available for free, on top of mod support for many years that build upon each other.

Plus, you don't usually get new version just because you own an old version, there are many HD games and re-released updated game from PS2, PS3 to PS4 that you have to buy everything new. This is not just a Bethesda problem but gaming in general. Charging PC people for something that they already have and may even be better in some aspects with bug fixes by the fans.

I downloaded so many mods for Skyrim that it feels like a new game each time.

In today's news "diversity for the sake of diversity" continues to be an absolutely meaningless phrase.

Anyhoo, ever since the leak the DAI influence has been pretty clear. I still don't entirely know how I feel about that. I liked the war table. I liked the environments. I did not like the complete sacrifice of interesting and compelling side quests that had cutscenes. And that lost one is pretty weighty to me. DAI is good looking even beautiful at times but it is such a slog. I'm not gonna be impressed if that same slog is replicated in MEA.

BUT. If we can have the bigger environments and not lose side-quests it'd be pretty amazing.

Fallout 4 has a very interesting way of doing it. They have cinematic view for all the sidequests, so you could talk to them in close up mode, some of them characters even have different animations during those scenes like Maxson waving his hand with different expression and emotion during that scene.

Watch around the 3 minutes mark.

Oh I'm well aware of what mods can do. Look, here's my issue: Xbox one announces backward compatibility, cool, Skyrim is the second most requested game for Xbox one support, also cool. Months and months go by,and no Skyrim, not so cool. E3 happens, and they're going to do an HD rerelease of Skyrim, ok not what I was hoping for but cool. Oh and you guys who already paid for the game and all the dlc (me)- you can have it for free- YEEAA- if you have it on PC- AHH...what?

So I paid full price for the game, and got each of the dlc as they came out, and will have to pay full price for the rerelease too, but someone who picks it up for practically nothing right now on Steam will get the new one for literally nothing. And as you pointed out, the PC crowd doesn't even need this, there are mods that already do the same stuff. Why even bother with the PC release? And why add insult to injury by promoting how the people who already had the better version of the game will get the new an improved and still superior game for free?

And damn it, I've been a loyal consumer of Bethesda's games since Morrowind was released and this just feels like a slap in the face. And God forbid this becomes a trend, and game companies just start favoring certain groups in pricing. How would you feel if Andromeda came out and EA decided PS4 players get it free, or reduced price at release and everyone else pays full price?

Addictress, I think, no, I hope you are kidding about ME3 multiplayer. Otherwise you really need to get out and play a few more fleshed out options for multiplayer. It kept my interest for all of 3 hours and I moved on to something else. Granted I think the developers are talented story tellers. there slim survival mode multiplayer could have use a great deal more work. I assumed it was a last minute addition at the time and I am hoping that was correct.

Brown enough that white people wouldn't think of her as white, though. It's a shade that's distinctly not a tan; it's a natural skin tone. The thing about people of color is that sometimes they don't have a particularly dark tone of whatever color they are.

Being white is not just skintone. An Arab can be pasty and white as snow yet you'd be easily able to spot them as being a POC because of their pronounced facial features. Cassandra has European(white) facial features unlike say Josephine would looks and has exotic facial features even if she'd have white skin and light eyes. Cassandra has weather-beaten skin hence her dark tone but she is not a POC.

My biggest worry is that I'll have to buy a new PC because my current one will be below the minimum specs.

A population of gamers disagree. I still play every day and have no problem finding countless other people who do as well, in random matches. CoD turns me off, so do a lot of other games like Halo. Reason is because ME3MP's truly co-op, no ill feelings or rage anywhere, the mechanics and UI work beautifully and are easy to grasp, it's not atrociously violent or necessarily gory (I mean heads explode in sniper mode but relatively speaking to other games), and most importantly, the setting and the enemies have meaning and weight behind them because of the single-player epic it attaches itself to.

Oh yah, me too. But really, now's not a bad time for that. I'm watching my local shop's price on the 970 steadily drop now that 1080's available.

Soon my pretty, soon.

You had me until trans. Can't change chromosones or your actual reproductive organs.

Yes you can. Genetic modification exist in mass effect. Miranda don't even have mother. grunt is tank breed and we even broth Shepard back from the dead. i don't even talking about just fixing brain and you feel happy with body you have. But we have Joker so mass effect medicine make no sense. And we know Bioware they made Aria who don't even have gender lesbian. So most likely it's impossible to change you sex gene or fix you brain, no mater how much space magic you use.

You would think that with so many perks, people would play PC version more, but people would still play more on console. As long as people are willing to pay for it, they would keep churning it out. PC often also gets game a lot later, I guess, in fear of pirates. You win some, you lose some. Porting games are always full price, it's not just Bethesda as mentioned but because it's a port.

So as soon as there isn't a straight white male in the cast it's too diverse? I prefer having a mix of orientations and races but I don't see the problem with not having a straight white guy on the cast...Not to mention you'll be able to play as one anyway.

Also, I don't recall any main Bioware game where there *wasn't* a white straight (so far as only displaying attraction to women) man on the team or as a major character. I don't care if they're on and off the team but they aren't exactly going extinct in Bioware games.

Hm, biggest fears?

A) Windows 10 minimum system requirement

B ) Clunky keyboard and mouse controls/weird or jumpy camera behaviour

C) Just see myself in the far future to buy a new Pc overall because my old gal at home can't handle such graphics at all (if we assume the short fighting scene in the "Behind the scenes"-trailer is ingame graphic). Maybe have to buy a next gen console because it might be cheaper then a high end pc. Which i don't want because i am more of a pc user.

D) Turians or quarians scrapped from the game completely (means not even there as npc representatives as part of the Ark for their races)

E) Exciting new planets to explore with a hell of fetch quests as "unbelievable deep sidestories"

F) Long loading times (yeah DA:I look at you)

G) You have to build up something like power in DA:I to get access to quests or story arcs

H) Long real-time kind of war table missions like in DA:I

I) MP meets SP: "You don't have to do MP/SP but then you can't get  ...XYZ" I like both but i hope for a balance between them.

Not that I care about there needing to be straight white males, but technically Mass Effect didn't. I mean, unless your counting Sheploo.

Joker. Not a squad mate but a major character. Shepard depending on how you make/play him also counts IMO, but even without him there's still Joker.
