I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and am no longer able to access the console commands. Can anyone help? The shortcut Target field is inaccessible.

What do you mean by inaccessible?
You created a shortcut to ....\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe and what happens when you right click on properties for the shortcut.

Good afternoon!

When the shortcut is created, the target field is grayed and I am unable to alter the content. All permissions are checked, but I cannot access that field.

Just a wild guess here, but if you move the shortcut somewhere else, such as your desktop (if it's not already there), is there any change in your situation?

None. What is interesting is that I can access the Target field on other desktop shortcuts and was able to do the same when I played the game on Windows 7. It was the upgrade to Windows 10 that changed it and I am definitely interested to know if anyone else has had this problem and if they've found a way around it, or if it's just me. I haven't gone so far as to uninstall the game and reinstall it, but that will be my next attempt if an answer isn't readily available.

I don't have Windows 10, so I can't confirm that.

Since you say existing shortcuts are modifiable' you coud try copying an existing shortcut and modifying target, start-in etc.

It sounds like a permissions change or somesuch related to Windows 10. I have Win10 Pro and when I create shortcuts on the desktop I can modify all the fields as normal. If by chance you have Dragon Age installed via Origin, you don't need to do the desktop shortcut route in order to enable the developer console, though. You can right click on the tile, select Game Properties and then paste in -enabledeveloperconsole
