I'm really sceptical they would rewrite one of their most polarizing characters. Not that Bioware doesn't recycle their character tropes mind you.
She's the only character I've ever not liked. I didn't hate her, I just couldn't see any reason for having such a person in my party. I'd strongly prefer to never experience her like again.
She probably wouldn't be exactly like Sera, but someone who is slightly odd or eccentric. That was the impression I got from the goofy facial expressions at least.Ugh! Let's hope that intention is not carried through to execution. I don't want any Sera in my Mass Effect.
I like it and don't mind as long as the Asari isn't a man like in the E3 footage.

Adult Asari don't have eyebrows, we don't know about adolescent Asari, and for some reason I got the impression that that Asari was an adolescent & not an adult.
Two things. 1. Your point is valid. We've never seen adolescent Asari. 2. what if the Asari in question has a human father? Could that make a difference?
She can, and likely will, wash her face at some point. Those eyebrows have to go, though. They make no sense. Asari don't have eyebrows. Or are we also giving other alien species eyebrows now, as well?
Turians with eyebrows? Salarians with eyebrows? Krogan with eyebrows? Batarians with quadruple eyebrows? They all make the same amount of sense. Asari are not human, and they do not have eyebrows. I'm sure it was a mistake.
As an animation demo, which is what she truly was, she looked awesome. Sadly, I doubt the game will actually look that impressive, as a total visual package. The protagonist didn't look nearly that good. Animation is only one of many components that combine to make great visuals. At least we have reason to suspect the animations will be quality. Hopefully, the overall visuals will be striking. Mass Effect has always had strong aesthetics, even as their visuals became dated.
Liara's eyebrows look like they could be facial markings. Benezia's, I'm less sure.
Check out 4:16. You can make out some texture. Doesn't look like a tattoo to me.

Because she had/has cancer. No joke. A quick google search let me know.
I don't think she actually had cancer, but she did have a mastectomy because she was confirmed to have the gene that would likely lead to breast cancer.

The devs add eyebrows to help them evoke emotions that human players recognize. Benezia was given those eyebrows to make her look angry. Same reason Cassandra had eyebrows that arch down between the eyes, because her base personality was angry.
Legion was even given eyebrow type things for the same reason.
If the devs decide Andrameda Asari need eyebrows in order to evoke emotions easier, then that's what we'll get.
Who cares?

After all this pages I really hope they give BIG BUSHY EYEBROWS to every single alien species, even the animals. And why not give the stones some too?

Humans in ME:A!
I am happy that the Frostbite 3 Engine is powerful enough to realize the vision bioware had/have with the Mass Effect series and finally not being bogged down with a decade old engine. The asari looked amazing and very emotive. noting wrong with more detailed facial expressions. Fandoms are sometimes the death of creativity.
I think it's cool. They're like namekians.
