It could be a facial marking as well. The marking across her eyes also feathered around her cheeks. Her eyelashes isn't clearly visible but doesn't mean it wasn't there.

gosh this amount of speculation of something you see in a couple seconds.

Just goes to show how important it is that they get this right. The "Asari squad mate" is right up there with "Make sure the ending doesn't suck."

It doesn't look like an Asari and its not just her face. Her crest is different when she turns her head.

I'm genuinely questioning if it is an actual Asari. Or something we'll have to have explained to us more thoroughly.

There was talk of a native squad member and fans have requested an all male equivalent of Asari in the past.

I really hope not.

She's a human fetishist and had eyebrow implants.  She probably also has a blonde wig and looks like Smurfette when she's all dressed up.

The good old days where lore was a thing...and fictional universes were taken seriously and each change required a lenghty explanation and a great story to be told in ordr to justify those changes.....ehh those were the days. Now instead we prefer to call this new lazy approach "artistic freedom" and change midway established lore and races because it's "cool"

couldn't have said it better myself. those who do not respect the lore and say things like ''is just a game'', ''is just fiction'' or ''who cares?'' are not real fans and so they should not be allowed to talk in these forums.

You realize that if Bioware suddenly decides Asari have eyebrows that that is the lore now. Bioware can change anything the want and no matter how ridiculous or farfetched you think it is, that's the new lore. And if you can't respect the lore you probably don't need to be posting here.

You're right. We should take it a step further, though, and get rid of the Asari all together.

Ya know, I always hated the Asari purely for their lack of eyebrows.

So if you ask me, I'm totally pro this new forward-thinking movement Bioware is taking. In fact, why would they stop here? This is Mass Effect: Andromeda. A new chapter in the Mass Effect franchise. They gotta dream big here, guys! I'm thinking Turians - rocking these sweet Afro implants. Krogans? Thresher Maw venom, straight in their lips. Boom. Big. Red. Luscious. Lips. Now the sexiest race in the Universe.

Well the eyebrows just make her look even more human but not a huge deal to me i think she looks allright.

Offtopic but everytime i see her it reminds me of that blonde girl from jurassic park.

Remember that ilium nightclub in me2 where a human, Salarian and Turian all stare at the stripper Asari and all remark how she looks - her looks differing in the viewpoint of each one and them commenting about that?

Could be that Asari also appear different amongst humans and that in Ryder's eyes, asaris have hair eyebrows while in Sheps they just have drawn eyebrows.

This is brought up and taken seriously very, very frequently, and my favorite of the many possible counter arguments is: What about Asari in vids or on recordings, like the ones in the Shadowbroker's base? If this is just alien space magic that makes people see the Asari in a variety of ways, why isn't that revealed when you see one over a com link?

That wasn't the three of them actually seeing something different, it was three drunk partygoers focusing on different things about her, and it was just a joke.

A single squadmate is as important as the endings? Seriously.

She looks like an asari to me. I honestly doubt she'll turn out to be something else, or a male Asari. In off-screen conventions Bioware talked about changing a bit the appearance of the original species, so the crest being different might be because of that.

maybe they always had eyebrows and just got tired of having to live up to universal beauty standards so they stopped shaving them
