My fav part of the analysis.
When you pointed out that it's an Asari standing next to the Krogan at the shipwreck site.

Ark Initiative?
Or ARKCON Initiative (or ARKCON Pathfinder Initiative). That pic is one of the earliest tease we got and it has been forgotten it seems.
Good analysis. You did a good job of keeping with facts pretty much and reasonable conjecture. We'll obviously find out once we play the game but excellent review. I hadn't taken the time to do the close viewing myself so you saved me a ton of time. ![]()

Thank you, BioFan! Some good CSI:BSN.
I expected more analysis threads. Ppl analyzing the heck out of screen caps, etc.
There's actually quite a bit to unpack here.
We get our first full view of the Tempest. We see the Salarian and Krogan on the left and right of the galaxy map. Tempest is obviously a multispecies project, to have both Salarian and Krogan. I hope they have interesting dialogue bits with each other. Like two co-pilots. I like how the controller platform rises up.
There seem to be some serious settlements in a few shots. Are those the living areas of new aliens? Or are they colonies of the..err...MilkyWayians....
.
That one shooting scene with possibly Prothy the Prothean character, looks like it could be on the ..I wanna say Citadel..but the main ARK? Perhaps. It reminds me of the Citadel on the inside. Some offices somewhere. Like back when we shot up Chora's Den in ME1. Or in the back alleys. So, I do hope this Not!Citadel is more active and engaging.

N7 loss his scarf!?
Bioware has said that the guy in the N7 armour we saw at last year's E3 isn't the protag, so I think the lil cloth part to his armour is to keep him recognisable while still being obviously part of N7. I think the N7 armour we saw in this video is more likely something we as the protag can wear.
Oh goodness! Exploded overnight! Thank you all! Really glad you guys enjoyed it! ![]()
And in terms of the revenant, I annotated it! Thanks for letting me know! I was looking at all the guns and the list gave me the wrong name.
What the...? Frame by frame? I'm too lazy for that so I'll go watch your video.
I gotchu ![]()
I don't typically like these videos, but I do like this one. Good job!
Why thank you!
At 5:47 that certain tattooed character-from-leaked-footage, that is also getting dropped from the cliff, appears slumped and injured while conversing with the people the protag and team are about to shoot at.
Edit: Someone else screenshot it, and it appears he is approaching a new? alien in white armor:
I kinda thought it had an odd head shape too, but it was too blurry for me to really take a stance on. It looks humanoid for sure, but *shrugs*. The others around looked kinda human-ish. Again, SUPER BLURRY.
@BioFan
The simbol in the armor, it might be this:
Dunno what it means tho
Read the article then added an annotation to the video. Seems pretty official that we're "Ai" now that there's t shirts ![]()

But I want the cloth ![]()
We're "Ai", huh? Hmm, I always think artificial intelligence when I hear that phrase. So, I'm not sure how I feel about that designation for my Protag.
Just sayin'.
Btw: is our female squaddie Cora supposed to be the Asari from the leak...there was an Asari, right? But also a blonde female squaddie. I'm wondering which one is Cora.

Well, for me it looks like turian with helmet on. Helmet, that characteristic neck armor and feet...
I vote for the turian option ![]()
dude super cool analyses of the trailer =D

Cora is only described as a biotic in the leak...that can easily be a blond female human.

The leaked footage looks like it had a blonde human woman.
I believe most of the Arkers will be significantly younger than what we were used to of the Milky Wayers in the first trilogy. Which makes sense after all, if I had to send people to another galaxy to preserve our civilisation, I'd send young people in priority, along with some 'teachers' or 'guides'. The Asari and human woman at the end look pretty young (though I will admit it is purely subjective perception on my part here). So I believe BioFan might be right about the Krogan shown in the gunfight being young too.
Edit: that would explain the protagonist being only A1. Generational conflict with the supposed N7 antagonist?

Andromeda Initiative?
Andromeda Initiative?
I'm thinking so as well.

I'm still calling protheans.
Since this is a thread about videos about videos, I thought I'd draw people's attention to Lady Insanity's analysis:
There are a lot of interesting insights in it, but here are 3 observations she made that I found intriging:
- There's evidence that the same planet may have different weather conditions at different times, which may be an evolution of the hazard maps from ME3MP
- When the Tempest is flying over the red planet, it is flying between two other "tempests" (the tornado on the left and the wall of dust on the right). Might this be symbolic of the role we're going to play, getting involved in a battle between two monolithic forces?
- In the gameplay scene where the character is firing a pistol at the advancing brute-type creature, the camera is over the left shoulder. Given that when we usually aim in ME games, the camera is over the right shoulder, could this be evidence we can switch? This might not seem like an important feature if you haven't seen it before, but, believe me, it's really helpful in a TPS.
The player is holding his/her gun in the left hand in the brute scene as well as in the jumping biotic smash scene.
great job buddy. Keep up good work.
Here's an in-depth look at the new Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer debuted at EA Play 2016. Mass Effect: Andromeda is currently set to release early 2017, with more news coming in the fall.
SpoilerWhat'd you think of the trailer? What things did you notice?
Andromeda Initiative?
I was thinking something like "ARK investigator".
There are two more aspects to this that are interesting:
1. According to the ME trilogy codex, the letters in the alphabet are all used to depict an Alliance soldier's career path (with N being the designation for special forces). AFAIK, we don't know what the "A" category would be though. Also, usually, the code entails the letter and a number (giving you the level of proficiency from 1-7). So in that code system, the "i" here wouldn't make sense.
2. IMO the letter A in that symbol looks a lot like a stylized version of the Alliance symbol. Coincidence? Might be that on the ARK ship, species get their own symbols and this is the one for Alliance soldiers.

Good point. It'd make sense for it to be an alliance project, but I bet there's more to it. I feel like there's either a new council, or a "commander" of the fleet.
The krogan's weapon looks like a shotgun with some sort of blade attachment and that blade looks like what was held to the asari's head. Also his armor's coloring looks a little weird to me. I wonder if we'll be able to change the squad mates' armor.
