I don't know French but I can safely say what answers were given:

- "New galaxy, new home for humanity, more info later!"

- Will u tell us anything else?

- "No!"

I can't access the link because I'm currently at my job and they lock the majority of the gaming websites.... If you have the direct link somewhere else to the vid, I could look at it and translate it.

edit : yeah finally at home!!! Cheylus, good summary translation ;)

Not a pure transcript, but here you go:

Question 1 : will there still be dialog choices in Andromeda?

Answer 1 : Yes, it's part of the BioWare formula, to play as you wish. We keep the freedom you had in previous game and are expanding it.

Question 2 : Aren't you afraid of losing audience without Shepard?

Answer 2 : It's a new adventure, Shepard's story is over ; we keep things like species, power, combat dynamics in Andromeda. We want to recreate the setting with "new eyes". In the beginning of ME, Shepard already knew the world; with Andromeda, the player will discover the world alongside the protagonist. Fans do not talk about "Shepard" but about "MY Shepard". We will keep the idea that the protagonist is YOUR character, with YOUR ship, it's YOUR game.

Question 3 : will there be some kind of loyalty quests about companions?

Answer 3 : Absolutely.

Question 4 : will there be multiplayer?

Answer 4 : The multiplayer mode will be heavily inspired from ME3. With a lot of gameplay evolutions, more dynamic. Frostbite brings a "chaos" factor.

Question 5 : will there be ship customization?

Answer 5 : Without going into details, we need the player to feel he has an impact on its near environment: character, ship, clothes and armors.

Question 6 : How many planets in the game?

Answer 6 : This is the biggest game we made. We are inspired by the first Mass Effect or Star Wars.

Question 7 : what about diplomacy and strategy with the different races from the galaxy?

Answer 7 : the type of dynamics to resolve conflicts will be similar to what you've seen in the trilogy: convos, combats. The order in which you explore the world will have an impact on the story developments.

Question 8 : we saw a female human in the trailer, can we choose our race/sex?

Answer 8 : Mass Effect was a story about humanity in the galaxy. Characters more defined helps to makes a better story. Can't go into details yet, but we are focusing on the player freedom.

Question 9 : what is the role of the protag?

Answer 9 : it's a complex role, with the exploration of a new galaxy. You have to be versatile. You're not only an explorer, not only a soldier. Your objective is to find a new home. Your character has to be able to take multiple roles.

Question 10 : will there be more infos about protheans?

Answer 10 : We want to find a balance between having references about the world you know and not drowning people with past references.

Q8's answer is weird.... how that "we can't go into details" about CC ? And player freedom ? it actually can smell good, maybe we will have new options on the CC ~ ^^ (But I highly doubt we can play anything else than a human prota)

I agree about the answer on Q10, MEA need to have references but not too much. I don't want to play a copy of the trilogy!

... need to watch that vids when I come back at home.

Edit : answer to Q7 is also nice.

Oh god, that's some dense interviewer. Asking about protheans, dialogue choices, multiplayer...

But we did get sort of confirmation on ship customization, which is nice.

A8 "literal" transcript:

Q: We seen in the trailer a human female, so, can you choose the species or the sex of your protagonist?

A: ME was always about the place of humanity in the galaxy. It's still in the center of MEA. Yes, having characters a little more defined allows us to have a more refined story on this side, but as I said we still have the spirit of freedom. Can't go into details but we will try to give you some more.

Q1 answer.

Bio will stay mostly true to their traditional formula from ME1. That is, this formula allows the player freedom to play the game as they want to play it but also the exploration aspect. ... more player freedom.

Q2 answer.

Shep's story end's with the Trilogy. Bio will incorporate the same "techniques" from the trilogy to recreate that experience  (ie: story, romance, combat, character development/dynamics) but with a new crew. The "problem" with Shep was that he went from a hero to a legend which caused certain difficulties (a disconnect with the player). From the start, Shep knew a lot about the galaxy while the player did not. Andromeda allows the player to discover the galaxy at the same time as his crew and also allows him/them to put "their own stamp" on the place.

Q3 "Fans don't talk about "The Shepard" but "their Shepard". They are attached to their chracters.

This is part of the formula which we want to absolutely continue. We want the players to feel its their crew, their game.

Sorry gotta go now... more later if people want it.

I think there may be a chance that they go through the questions before the interview and pick out which questions the one being interviewed will, can and is allowed to answer.

Answer 4 sounds cool. Imagine a biotic bringing down a structure to create choke point or something. I mean that's what I've always thought was chaotic about BF games a building could fall down, and you'd have to approach the map a little different.

& this one from Mass Effect FB :

Crystall Hoyt I am sorry but I cried a little a bit when I heard female Shepard's voice-over...this made me realize I am not over ME3. Please bioware take your time I love your games so much....also maybe give us a little more like you did with dragon age inquisition...
1458589_542896385785749_111412740_n.jpg?

Mass Effect We hear you, Crystall. We learned a lot from building Dragon Age Inquisition with the Frostbite engine and that will benefit Mass Effect Andromeda greatly. Plus, this will be the biggest Mass Effect to date. We'll show you lots of details in the coming months.

Martin Dean Pervorse That's nice and all. It's the kind of stuff you would expect to see from a sequel to a previous game. It DOES look good.

What I want to see though, what I want to know about most of all, is who are the new characters? What is the story?
...

1458589_542896385785749_111412740_n.jpg?

Mass Effect The story will take the most courageous and daring to Andromeda to find a new home for humanity. You get to experience the freedom from other Mass Effect games and we add exploration to it.
More will be shown in the coming months, Commander. Can't wait to unveil it.

1458589_542896385785749_111412740_n.jpg?

Mass Effect If you hibernate, then you'd miss out on all the new info we'll be posting in the coming months.

Aston Redmond So excited!!!

1458589_542896385785749_111412740_n.jpg?

Mass Effect And there's more shown in the coming months. What did you like the most about the video?

coming months,July 11 maybe ??

I hope by chaos factor they don't mean the DAIMP chaos factor, lost connections 1/3 of the time, rampant game breaking bugs, such lousy performance that region locking is necessary.

I can struggle with the Québécois accent, so I'm pleased that I understood what Yanick had to say. Shame that it wasn't anything we hadn't heard before...

I suspect we'll hear something at Gamescom, at the latest. Of course, "something" could mean anything from another behind the scenes video to a gameplay demo, so who the hell knows.

Cheylus's translation is pretty much spot on. I'll just add that on question 5, Roy talked about Shepard's cabin in ME3 (the jukebox, ship models, aquarium) and seemed to use it as a point of reference. So perhaps we won't get full ship customization, but having our own cabin seems likely.

I liked the answer to question 2, when Roy kinda admits that Shepard didn't make that much sense as an audience surrogate, already being a veteran N7 marine, and that the Andromeda PC will likely suffer less from that dissonance.

It also might make more sense, since the protagonist seemingly isn't strictly a solider, when they make important decision. Shepard always made decisions that were way, way above their paygrade.
