I tried to find the image of the "arkship" from the EA Play 2016 trailer but I haven't found one yet. From 1:30 to 1:32 of the video we see some shuttles similar to the Kodiak shuttles approaching a ship. Directly behind it and to the side there is a circular structure with two arms extending from the top to the bottom, similar to a Stargate. Is it possible that they are mass relays created by the surviving races?

 

If they are mass relays and judging by the fact that there is more than one of those structures it would seem that we can only travel to one star cluster at a time, not jump to any star system like in the Milky Way where the relay network would connect in order to take you wherever you need to go instantaneously, which would make sense since we are no where near advanced as the Reapers were when the relay network was created.

There are in fact more than one circular structures. One of them seems like it's surrounding one ark.

I think you could be right, either that or its one of the quarian heavy ships that you see in ME3 when they attack the geth as they have a somewhat similar design to that

Going by how there seems to be 4-5 of them all standing above Earth and the three arks shown are clearly docked to one each, those things are most probably just space docks.

Doesn't fit with the searching for a new home theme or going to stasis. Why go into Stasis to make a relay jump?

Since ME:A takes place in a cluster of Andromeda, and not the whole galaxy, I'm pretty sure there won't be relays there either.

They're like catapults. When you launch something in space and don't stop it, it keeps moving on. So if you want to travel through dark space for a very long time and don't have the fuel (and are too far away from suns to charge solar power) you need to be launched with a very big bang and just don't stop until you reach your destination.

These rings?  I am very curious about what they could be as well.  They look almost like a Stargate, but I don't think they will function the same way.  I agree with Fogg's catapult theory.  

 

Although they could just be the structure from which the Arks were built, like a spacedock in Star Trek when they build/fix the Enterprise.  

 

They aren't there around the Ark in the N7 day trailer, so they are not part of the Ark ship.

It's not inconceivable that another race could develop relays. That's how physics works in the MEU.

That said, it is now confirmed that the Arks take centuries (approximately 600 years) to reach Andromeda and the crew is in stasis during that time. So I think that the similarity is coincidental and those things are probably space docks or a construction apparatus.

Also, that's not how relays work anyways. They couldn't just use them to jump to Andromeda - you would need a relay in Andromeda already for that to work.

Space docks. Colonies above the planet. Military defense facilities. I mean, I'm sure I can think of more, but you get the idea...
