Been running through all 3 of the series with the same save and noticed that in ME3 the "NewGamePlusSave" shows up before the "Priority: Cerberus Headquarters".

 

Can one assume that nothing else after that point is added to that save file?

 

When one finishes ME3 we get the "LegendSave" also but when you attempt to start a new me3 game your only asked about data for this career saved on (date), which files is actually used?

 

What I wanted to do was edit the save before restarting so I could save Mordin this time (know have to edit me1 and me2 variables to do this), I just am not sure which files are used Legendsave or NewGamePlus? the restart screen isn't very informative.

NewGamePlusSave is actually created at the beginning of the game.

 

While you need LegendSave for your character to even be available for import into NG+, it's not required while importing (I took out both files one at a time, couldn't import with LegendSave alone, but with NewGamePlusSave alone it worked fine). So I would say NewGamePlusSave is responsibe for carrying over our decisions.

Thanks appreciate the response, I'd start from ME1 if someone could make the Mako actually fly heh, that "upgradevehicle 6 vehthrusterforcebooster" doesn't really help all that much, fun but ..
