I believe they picked this scene as one of the tidbits of the trailer shown yesterday, to tie-in with the "leaked" footage from about 2 months ago where the same dude was choking on a fart-grenade.

Not just any grenade.

 

A krogan fart grenade.

It's obviously the same guy.

Someone posed what I thought was a more intriguing question in another thread. Was it this same guy activating that console on the bridge of the ship in the trailer? (The console I refer to is the one we see rising from the floor, with a Krogan to the left and a Salarian to the right.)

Whoever he is, at some point he is no longer teamed up with the krogan (nor the human female or salarian). He seems to team up with prothean-like aliens later on.

There's one difference I see.

 

Leaked PC has more hair than guy getting dropped.

 

Guy being dropped looks like the victim of the krogan fart grenade.

 

Guy getting dropped does have a strong resemblance to console dude

I don't think this guy is playable. If you watch the leaked vid again, protagonist, Krogan companion and female companion are sneaking around the corner.

That protagonist sneaking around the corner is female. This guy is in the shot, slumped and engaged in conversation with some alien-looking people that we likely shoot full of holes. Then, we seem to get the option of dropping him off a ledge.

I think the guy sitting next to the krogan is the PC, perfoming a renegade situation.

Which the new alien figure resembles this screenshot of an alien from the E3 2014 trailer:

 

 

And the leak that confirmed a blonde human woman also stated the antagonistic race is a native species that looks like a cross between vorcha and collectors. This alien looks a little prothean-like, no?

We're in agreement. I think you misunderstood my post. The guy getting dropped is absolutely the same guy that got fart-grenaded. He's also seen conversing with some aliens while the PC and squad are sneaking up on them, presumably before he gets dropped. He's definitely not our protagonist.

Of course, this doesn't mean he isn't the N7 in the trailer; nor does it mean he isn't playable at some early point in the game. I'm not suggesting there's evidence for that type of game structure; I'm just throwing that possibility out there, since I don't think I'd ever mentioned it here.

Who is the "leaked PC"? Do you mean the woman at the end of the trailer?

Edit: That's the scene in the post above. It's hard to say if those are aliens, or if that's armor that matches our own. The image quality just isn't good enough. Either could be true. You can see the little douche bag leaned over, though. Maybe he just got fart-grenaded. Maybe he got gut-punched. I'm sure the exact story is still in flux. It seems certain that his life sucks, though.

"We" catch him after he gets krogan fart grenaded.  N7 decides to drop and leave him for dead.  We find him alive looking to mkae an alliance with a hostile Andromeda race.

"Leaked PC" is the guy with a life and shield bar running towards the dome on the snowy planet in the leak vid.  I thought he looks similar to guy being dropped.
