on the subject of leviathan... don't forget they would never have been rolled up into a 'canon' ending as they were DLC?  and to be fair only stuff that was in the main game could have served that function... but they didnt do canon anyway... although we all know destroy was... oh ok no discusion about endings

Depends on the technological capabilities of the natives, what said native's intentions are, how early they detect the expedition, how the Milky Way colonists react, and of course how well armed the Arks actually are. For what we know, they managed to fit loads of weaponry in there.

 

One thing I liked is the idea that we're awake ahead of most of the Ark and sent to find critical reccources before everyone starves. That seems like a good way to introduce the player to the setting, give us a clear reason to do what we do, and have the setting unfold as the game progresses, with more characters progressively waking up from stasis and people setting up new shops/colonies/infrastuctures, etc. I now hope they do it this way.

This makes perfect sense and I also hope this is the way it rolls out.

 

One does have to assume though that they have all sorts of food generation/stasis bound supplies aboard each Ark ship... 400 year old canned Tuna might sound bad, but if it's been hit with enough stasis bombs, it could probably still be whipped into an ok tunafish sandwich.

but to be very pedantic and picky, which to be fair is unlike me, she looks as if she fell asleep in her flight chair... no stasis pod hissing open... although I agree that is probably the most likely way it will pan out...

Maybe before that awakening you have a sequence with the pod openning, defreezing and all of that

That's because she wasn't in a statis pod, you can see the pods on the walls and ceilings once the lights are on. There is probably an automated system that pick a pod up and put the content in a resuscitation room (where Ryder is).
