Hi,
I have Mass Effect 2 CE Digital Editon pre-ordered on EA Store. I exceed the minimum & recommanded specs.
I installed it on Monday 25th. I live in France so I waited until today, Thursday 28th, to activate.
I passed the date verification and now I have to activate the game. So I press play and enter my e-mail and password.
Then it says "We could not activate ME2 on this computer using the EA account you provided. Please take a moment to locate your game key and activate your game on this computer using your EA account."
I enter my key. I've got a "Activation Complete" and when I click next, I've got "We're sorry, an error has occurred"
The message says : "Error : We are unable to connect to EA to activate ME2 on this computer using your account. Please try again later."
I tried a dozen times. I tried one hour later. I tried to deactivate my firewall. Nothing worked.
I looked around here and the Internet but didn't find a solution. If anyone knows why I've this messsage and how to fix it please help me, you're my only hope.
FYI : Intel Core2 Q9300, nvidia 9800GTX (drivers 196.21), 2x2GO RAM, Win7 Pro 32bits, dX11, and I used the same EA account to buy and activate the game.

I have a similar issue, which I've been stuck on for 7 hours soon. I also have the digital deluxe edition from EA store, today I got past the release date check and right after I got stuck on the activation as well, although in a slightly different manner.
When I type in my e-mail and password and click the sign-in button, I only get an error box saying "We're sorry, an error has occurred". But no explanation as to what the error actually is - I've pretty much tried every trick in the book I could think of going as far as uninstalling firewall and manually opening some ports and things like that. But nothing seems to work.

WTF?
I just got an e-mail from EA Store saying they have modified my order replacing the english version by the french version. I suspect this have a link with my problem.
I just e-mailed to have my english version back because I payed for it (and I didn't ask nor think about having french version).
I'll tell you if this solve my problem.

Get this, I download it using the EA download on my laptop. It downloaded the french version. yes, the french version works, but come on, this is just pathetic.
